20 Questions in 20 Days: Outside Linebacker

**

Question 19: Who will be the starting outside linebackers?**

MICHAEL EISEN: If we're talking about opening day, that will depend on whether Jon Beason has recovered from the foot injury he suffered in the spring. If Beason is healthy, then Jameel McClain and Jacquian Williams are the favorites to start outside. If McClain must move inside until Beason returns, Spencer Paysinger and rookie Devon Kennard are candidates to start outside.

JOHN SCHMEELK: Assuming Beason gets back for week one, it will be McClain and Jacquian Williams. If Beason doesn't get back, it could be Kennard out there at SAM.

DAN SALOMONE: If Jon Beason's foot heels as expected and he makes it for the season opener, I think you're looking at Jameel McClain starting on one side and Spencer Paysinger on the other. With that said, starts for linebackers are a little deceiving, especially on a Giants defense that often uses an extra defensive back. Jacquian Williams will also get plenty of snaps while rookie Devon Kennard has already impressed coaches this spring. So watch out for him.
