2012 Pro Bowl Ballot and Voting Breakdown

Despite missing the playoffs last season, the five Giants selected to the Pro Bowl were more than 22 NFL organizations and the most for Big Blue since sending a conference-best seven to Honolulu for the 2008 season.

Offensive linemen Chris Snee and Shaun O'Hara both earned their third-straight honor while Justin Tuck, Antrel Rolle, and Zak DeOssie each picked up the second of their careers in 2010.

On that note, the ballots for the 2012 Pro Bowl have officially been released and polls will remain open until Monday, Dec. 20, following the conclusion of Monday Night Football. The teams will be announced at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday, Dec. 28 on a special "NFL Total Access 2012 Pro Bowl Selection Show" on NFL Network.

The game will be played on Sunday, January 30, 2012 and televised live on FOX at 7 p.m. ET from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The first league to offer online balloting in 1995, the NFL is also the only sports league that combines voting from fans, coaches and players to determine the AFC and NFC rosters.

Following is a breakdown of positions and corresponding number of players who will be selected in each conference (43 per conference):OFFENSE

-- Wide Receivers (4), Tight Ends (2), Tackles (3), Guards (3), Centers (2), Quarterbacks (3), Running Backs (3), Fullback (1).

DEFENSE -- Ends (3), Interior Linemen (3), Outside Linebackers (3), Inside/Middle Linebackers (2), Cornerbacks (3), Safeties (3).

SPECIAL TEAMS -- Punter (1), Placekicker (1), Kick Returner (1), Special Teamer (1), Need Player (1-Coach's Choice).

There are 27 Big Blue nominees. Here is a breakdown to remember when you head to the ballot box (stats are current through Week 7):

Quarterback – Eli Manning

·      1,778 YDS, 11 TD, 5 INT, 101.1 RTG.

·      Ranks in top 5 of every major passing statistic in the NFC.

·      Second in conference in yards per attempt (9.07); third in passer rating; and fourth in completion percentage (63.8), yards per game (296) and touchdowns.

·      On pace for: 4,741 YDS, 29 TD, 13 INT.

·      Pro Bowls: 2008, first Giants QB since Phil Simms in 1993.

Running Back – Ahmad Bradshaw

  • 390 YDS, 4.0 avg, 5 TD.
  • Also has 18 catches for 172 yards (9.1 AVG) and a touchdown.
  • Named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his three touchdowns and 104 yards against the Buffalo Bills (Week 6).
  • On pace for: 1040 YDS, 13 TD.

Running Back – Brandon Jacobs

  • 38 ATT, 116 YDS, 2 TD.
