Make the Case: Options with the 34th pick

MAKE-THE-CASE-7

"Make the Case" is officially back on Giants.com for the 2025 NFL Draft.

In this series, we look at projections provided by analysts and then ask you, the fans, to weigh in on what the Giants should do in the draft.

With the draft just two days out, we're going to take a look at some second-round options at No. 34 from The Athletic's Dane Brugler and ESPN's Jordan Reid.

Pick at No. 34: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Height: 6-foot-2 | Weight: 217 pounds

2024 Stats: 13 games, 2,844 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 64.3 completion percentage, 726 rushing yards, 20 rushing touchdowns

Accolades: William V. Campbell Trophy (2024), Second-Team All-SEC (2023)

"As I reported last week, Milroe has accepted his invitation to the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, creating even more intrigue about when he will hear his name called. I like this fit for both sides — a young, dynamic quarterback for the Giants to develop, and a landing spot for Milroe where he won't be thrust onto the field before he's ready."

Pick at No. 34: Josh Conerly Jr., T, Oregon

Height: 6-foot-5 | Weight: 311 pounds

2024 Stats: 14 games at left tackle, 523 pass block snaps, 1 sack allowed (according to PFF)

Accolades: AP Third-Team All-American (2024), First-Team All-Big Ten (2024), All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention (2023)

"Similar to Cleveland, the Giants passed on a QB in Round 1. With no passers representing value at this spot, they could elect to improve the offensive line...Conerly is a high-upside blocker who could begin his career at guard."
