8.2 DE Osi Umenyiora

Q. What do you want to do in this first week of camp to get back into the swing and shake that rust off?

A. Get through it, I guess. The first week of camp is usually the hardest. We have most of our two-a-days this week so just get through this week and focus.

Q. Are you going to be doing one-a-days?

A. I don't know. Whatever the coaches want. I feel like I'm prepared to go twice a day. I feel like maybe I should go twice a day but whatever they feel is the smartest thing for me to do, that's what I'll do.

Q. Was your off-season any different this year coming off an injury?

A. No, because I think my injury healed right in time for off-season conditioning and I went right back into it and did everything that everyone else was doing at that time.

Q. Having gone down in a preseason game last year, will that change your approach to preseason games this year?

A. No. I know it's a cliché but everybody says if you don't go hard you're going to get hurt. I have to go hard every single time.

Q. Talk about coming back, being healthy, and contributing to a team that missed you last year.

A. I'm just going to try my best to do what I can do. Any time I'm on the football field I can help this team win. I love these guys, I love being around them, I love being out there so I'm just going to go out there and do everything I can to help this team win.

Q. How much have you followed what Antonio Pierce has been going through this past week and how concerned are you for him?

A. I'm a little concerned because I don't really know what's going on, but I support him. Whenever he comes back we'll be here waiting for him.

Q. Did you think that once Plaxico (Burress) was released that this story would go away for this team?

A. That's what I thought but if I sit here and say what I really want to say I'm going to get in a lot of trouble so I'm going to keep quiet on that one.
