Coach Coughlin updates Giants injuries

For the second week in a row, the Giants' preliminary injury list includes a season-high 13 players. But some of the names have changed.

Chris Snee, David Baas and Michael Coe have been replaced by Chase Blackburn (hip), Martellus Bennett (knee) and Andre Brown (concussion). None of the three will practice today, though Tom Coughlin said Blackburn is scheduled to work tomorrow. Brown cannot return to the field until he passes the medical tests given to all players who suffer concussions.

Also missing practice today are wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (foot/knee), defensive tackle Rocky Bernard (quadriceps) and safety Kenny Phillips (knee). Nicks has missed the last three games, but Coughlin is hopeful he will return to the field this week and perhaps play Sunday against the 49ers in San Francisco.

Phillips will start doing some non-practice work today. Tackle David Diehl will continue the regimen he began last week, though he remains uncertain for the game.

Wide receiver Ramses Barden (concussion) and linebackers Michael Boley (hip) and Keith Rivers (hamstring) will practice.

Cornerback Jayron Hosley (hamstring) will practice on a limited basis.

Safety Antrel Rolle (knee) and cornerback Corey Webster (hand/hamstring) are also on the list. They played the entire game last Sunday, when the Giants defeated Cleveland, 41-27.
