Daily Blitz - May 4: Draft pick comparisons

Fans and members of the media often like to draw comparisons to players, but Jerry Reese did our jobs for us last weekend. The Giants general manager, with his seven draft picks wrapped up, drew the above similarities for the newest members of the defending champs during a Saturday night news conference.

Mosley, an offensive tackle out of Auburn, heard that reference recently and was asked about it in a Q&A with a local newspaper.

"It's awesome to be mentioned in the same sentence as him," Mosley said about the Giants' nine-year veteran, according to The Auburn Plainsman. "He is a great player and I take it as a compliment, but he has been in the league for so long and done so many great things at the top level. It is hard for me to compare our two bodies of work. I look forward to hopefully being his teammate. He has a lot of knowledge and I have a lot to learn from him."

After Reese, coach Tom Coughlin spoke about the draft picks and said he could see Mosley also playing guard. Mosley, once a tight end and defensive end in the lower ranks, is already sounding like a Giants lineman in his response to being asked about it.

"As long as I get a chance to get on the field, I will do whatever it takes," Mosley said. "If they want me to learn tackle, I learn tackle. The same goes for guard. I want to do whatever they need me to do to help the team as well as myself be successful."

*"The whole plan was to waste time," Bradshaw said Saturday before Marshall's Green-White Game. "After hearing Eli screaming, 'Don't score! Don't score!' as he's handing me the ball ... It really didn't click until the 2-yard line, and I was already going in, and I was like, 'Oh, don't score.'

**"I just happened to turn around and see where everybody was, and I just wanted to waste some time. They were coming, so I just fell in the end zone. Everybody has fun with that, and it's a great thing to remember."
