Q: How did it feel?

A: Felt great. We won the football game.

Q: How did your injuries feel?

A: They feel like they're injuries. It's Monday. Everybody is sore. Everybody is kind of banged up. But we made it through, just trying to progress this week.

Q: Feeling better or worse than you thought you would?

A: I don't know. Honestly, I didn't think I was going to make it through the game. There's some things that I wish were feeling better than what they do, but like I said, I made it through the football game and we're just going to go forward coming up this week.

Q: Anything you would classify as a setback?

A: Not at this point, no.

Q: You really didn't think you were going to make it through the game?

A: I had some thoughts.

Q: During the game or before?

A: Both.

Q: Strahan and Pierce rattling around in your brain?

A: Yeah right.

Q: What helped push you through it?

A: Honestly, the energy from the crowd there in the fourth quarter helped a lot. You kind of forget about some stuff. And then when the adrenaline comes down, I'm sitting there talking to you guys at the podium, 'I kind of regret some of the decisions that I made during the game.'

Q: They said they were going to monitor your snaps.

A: Yeah I think they did a good job. I think going into the game they wanted me to get about 35, I think I got 38. So I was pretty much right on that.

Q: Run defense?

A: I don't want to talk about it.

* *

Q: I was going to say you finish the question.

A: 'What run defense?' That's how I'll finish it. We didn't play well against the run.

Q: Is that still one thing here and there? Can you even say that anymore?

A: It was one thing here and there. The bad part was that it wasn't just the same thing over and over again. It was just one thing here and there. Honestly that's how it normally is. Even some of the plays that we stopped, if they had done one thing differently, they could have been out of the gate. Past times when we've had a very solid defensive front against the run, it's normally just one person making a play when some of those plays could've gotten out of the gate. For us right now that's not happening.

Q: Did it improve as the game went on?

A: I think it did. We're seeking right now as a unit and a coaching staff and players, to see what works best against the run. The offense has done a good job of mixing and matching what we've seen. For some reason we get some new things from offensive coordinators, but that's no excuse. I think we've seen everything in the running aspect that you can see as a defense. We just have to do a better job of playing against it.

Q: Do you have any thoughts about playing the Patriots as far as the last time you played them?

A: Not really. That was four years ago. If we were still living in the shadow of 2007, then that's one of our greatest downfalls. We have to move on. Obviously they have and we do, too. Obviously 2007 was a great year in all of our careers, but that's not going to help us going there this year. A lot of guys are back from those two teams and a lot of guys are gone. The better team this year is going to win the football game, not the better team in '07.

Q: Do you think playing against Brady and the storyline there will energize, will propel Eli?

A: I just want him to continue to do what he's done the last six games.

Q: What's impressed you the most about Eli?

A: Regardless of what people say about him, he's going to go out there and play his style of football game and has led this team to a two-game lead in the NFC East. That's all that matters right now. I could care less what everybody else says. We're 5-2 and hopefully we can come back here on Sunday night and we'll be 6-2.

Q: Did you watch the game last night?

A: What game?

Q: Eagles and Cowboys.

A: No. I saw little skippings of it. I was channel surfing.

Q: Do you think the Eagles sent a little message, that they're back?

A: We'll find out. It's a long season.

Q: Talk about all four of the defensive linemen being in the game at the same time. It looked like it took you guys a while to get in the flow of things. A: It took us a while to get in the flow of things. I said I didn't want to be a distraction. I don't know if I was, but I don't think we played up to our abilities in that first half. Right at the end of the third, going into the fourth I think we hit our stride and started playing a lot better together. We were able to finish it out there at the end.
