Make that 11 rookies on the Giants' active roster.

The Giants today signed defensive end Justin Trattou from their practice squad and placed linebacker Jonathan Goff on season-ending injured reserve.

Trattou, from the University of Florida, becomes the fourth undrafted rookie on the roster, joining fullback Henry Hynoski and linebackers Mark Herzlich and Spencer Paysinger.

Trattou was signed by the Giants on July 28 and was with them throughout training camp. He was waived at the final cutdown last Saturday and signed to the practice squad the following day.

At Florida, Trattou played in 52 games with 31 starts at Florida and recorded 121 tackles (75 solo), 26.0 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, three interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

In 2010, he was named to the Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll. Trattou started each of the Gators' 13 games and finished fourth on the team with 57 tackles (35 solo) and he led the squad with 12.0 tackles for loss.

Trattou, 26, helped lead Don Bosco (N.J.) Prep, located about 30 minutes from the Timex Performance center, to a perfect 12-0 record and its first state title since 2003 during his senior year, when he had 82 tackles and 17 sacks. He was rated fourth among New Jersey's Top 30 prospects by Rivals.com.

Goff, who started all 16 games at middle linebacker last year, tore his right anterior cruciate ligament in a practice on Monday.

The Giants open their 2011 regular season tomorrow against the Redskins in Washington.
