Q: What did the tests say?A: It came about after the walkthrough during practice or whatever. I was having a little backache. They just wanted to make sure everything was O.K.
Q: And it is?
Q: It was just a muscle spasm or something?
A: Yeah, something like that. They just wanted to look in there and see that I'll be able to go out and perform.
Q: You haven't played in a game since December 2009. You're playing in Jacksonville, do you think that had anything to do with it?
A: I don't think so. Going out there, haven't been out there for a while, my body is adapting to it. It could have had a little effect but I don't think it was the primary cause.
Q: Can you practice today?
A: No, I can't practice today.
Q: So you're probably out for the preseason game?
A: I don't know. Just taking it day by day.
Q: They give you an idea of how long you're going to rest it before you can get back on the field?
A: No. They haven't told me exactly. They just want to ask me how me I feel each day and assess it.
Q: Bigger picture. Do you think this is something that is going to bother you long term as we go into the regular season? Or is this a one-shot deal?
A: I don't think it's going to be something that lags on. That's why we wanted to get everything right now and make sure you do all the proper precautions so it won't be something that goes on for a long period of time.
Q: Do you think you'll play in the preseason?
A: I don't know. I can't really answer that right now.
Q: Was it the mattresses fault?
A: I don't think it was the mattresses fault. It's just a multitude of different things. Coming back playing… I didn't have the best bed, but it wasn't the worst.
Q: How worried were you in the drive down to New York considering what you've gone through and some of the diagnoses you've had in the past?
A: Coach is concerned if you have anything to do with your back. It's one of the most important parts of your body, so I was concerned. I know how I was feeling and it wasn't too weird. It wasn't something that I thought was gonna be out of football.
