DT Marvin Austin

Q: Going back to the Tar Heel state?
A: It's going to be good. It's going to be a little something right there for me coming back to Carolina. I haven't been there in a little while, but I know it's going to be a good game and I can't wait to get out there.

Q: Do you have people coming in from Washington for the game?
A: No. Most of my family is in DC. It's a little ways away.

Q: Was it harder to watch the game in uniform as opposed to street clothes?
A: It's hard in uniform. Right there, you got on the body armor, but you can't go into battle. It's tough, but the one thing I do know is it'll happen sooner or later and that's all I can do is be prepared for my opportunity. Nobody thought Andre was going in the game. You never know. He went out there, was prepared for his opportunity and now this week he's the starting running back for the New York Football Giants. You never know what's going to happen whenever you get your chance and your opportunity to take advantage.

Q: Is this the type of team in Carolina where you might see even more of a rotation up front?
A: When they 96, I go in there, run in there, play my proper technique, use the stuff that they've been teaching me and… Coach Fewell, Coach Nunn, Coach Coughlin to figure out who they need in there and as long as I'm in the blue, I'm going to be ready for whatever. If I need to go and play guard on offense, then let's go. If they need me to go out there and do some stuff, I'm a pretty good athlete.

Q: Are your friends from North Carolina coming to the game?
A: They might. We haven't confirmed yet, but it might be a couple of people out there.

Q: Are you getting ticket requests?
A: Yeah, but you know. It costs. I'm trying to save every penny I can. It should be a good way to go down there and come back to the state of North Carolina and I like Big Blue.
