DT Shaun Rogers

**

Q: Has the swelling gone down? **

A: I'm alright.

Q: Thoughts on the possibility of being able to play:
A: Well, we did a little bit more due diligence, and got a little bit better prognosis. Hopefully there is some room left in there to get out there. We're still in the process of making that decision.

Q: What is the next step?
A: The next step, you're going to have to discuss that with Ronnie (Barnes) and those guys as far as that goes.

Q: We've heard it's hard to play while using a blood thinner.
A: From what I understand, yeah, you don't do too well playing on a thinner, or a thing of that nature. That's really the issue, I guess.

Q: Is there a possibility for a replacement drug?
A: When you get into that, like I said, you need to discuss that with them (Athletic Training staff), as far as that type of information.

Q: Are you hoping to play?
A: That's most definitely the point. Trying to get back out there as soon as possible, to be able to be effective by whatever means they need me to be effective.

Q: Were you hurt in the game, or before that?
A: It was an injury leading up to the game.

Q: Did it get worse on the plane ride back?
A: We assume that that played a part in the situation.

Q: How scary was it to learn about the blood clot?
A: It's just one of those things in life. It is what it is.

Q: Was it life threatening?
A: No, no.

Q: Was there ever a point when you thought the season was over for you?
A: Anytime you go to the doctor and they tell you your season is over, you're disappointed, but like I said, we did further due diligence, we came up with a better prognosis, and hopefully that will be the situation.
