Eisen's Mailbag: Next man up on O-Line

**

When will the depth chart be released? Also, who is in contention to replace Snee following his retirement?** -Brad

Dear Brad:
The first depth chart will likely be released next week, prior to our opening preseason game. Regarding the contenders at right guard, Brandon Mosley will line up with the starters first. Free agent acquisition John Jerry and rookie Weston Richburg will also compete for the job.

What role will Mario Manningham have for the Giants this fall? Will he be a potential starter, or is he here as a backup?
-Adam

Dear Adam:
That remains to be decided. It's a little difficult to pinpoint a role for Manningham right now. Training camp is just beginning and Manningham didn't participate in the spring drills because he was rehabbing his surgically-repaired knee. Assuming he is healthy, Manningham should contribute in the three- and four-wide receiver sets. I don't know if he'll be a starter; barring an injury or surprise, Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle will be the top two receivers. But Manningham can still play a significant role – if he proves he deserves it.

At times last season, Damontre Moore looked like a beast. Do you think he has a shot at starting over or competing with Mathias Kiwanuka?
-Matt

Dear Matt:
Does he have a shot? Sure – theoretically, everyone has a shot. Moore flashed at times last year, but he must have more focus and consistency as a pro sophomore. He has the ability to harass quarterbacks, so he will have a chance to work his way into a role. I don't see him supplanting Kiwanuka as a starter, at least early in the season.
