What comes next for Eli Manning in retirement?
Sunday will be exactly one year since Eli Manning stood inside the field house at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center to announce his retirement from the NFL.
Ever since he decided to hang up his cleats, many wondered what might come next for the two-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback. Following his retirement ceremony, Manning said he wanted to spend more time with his family while he contemplates his next career move after 16 years in the league. As he pondered this decision, It became quite clear that Manning also had "MVP Dad" on his long list of accolades.
Just a year into retirement, Manning is still a bit unclear on what exactly he would like to do next, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting everyone around the world. However, the recently turned 40-year-old did admit that he has a few plans up his sleeve.
Manning sat down for a Q&A with ESPN's Michael Rothstein where they discussed several topics, including a few of Manning's plans for the near future, such as projects with ESPN, coaching his kids' sports teams, and possibly even some work with the Giants.
Q: What do you think will be your next move professionally?
A: You know, I'm still figuring that out. You're a little bit limited on what you could do and what some options were, obviously, with a pandemic going on, so I just took this time to just reflect and dabble in a few things. I am going to do some things with ESPN. I filmed a couple [episodes] of "Details" the other day on [quarterbacks] Mac Jones[Alabama] and Justin Fields [Ohio State].
I'm going to join Peyton [Manning] in some of his "Peyton's Places" and do the ... kind of college version of that, college football. So some of those things will be fun, keep me involved in the game of football.
Hopefully I'll be able to do some more things with the Giants next year as well. This year, it was new, didn't know how much I wanted to be around [the team]. I think we both needed a break from each other, but hopefully I can do some more things related to the Giants.
But also I like being home with my family. I want to be able to coach my kids in their sports and be able to kind of pick and choose when I want to do some of the work and do fun, interesting jobs that will keep me intrigued and keep me entertained -- things I want to work hard on, though.

Pro Football Focus' best college players from 2020 season
With Alabama defeating Ohio State in the College Football Playoff Championship Game last week, the 2020 college season is officially complete.
Similar to everything else in 2020, getting through the season during the COVID-19 pandemic was no easy feat. Despite some obstacles along the way, schools from around the country were able to persevere and complete the season.
Pro Football Focus' Anthony Treash took a look back at the 2020 season and ranked the top 101 players from around the country. PFF did not incorporate positional value in these rankings, nor are they indicative of the players' pro potential.
