Game Balls: Standouts from win over Chargers 🏈

With quarterback Jaxson Dart making his first career start under center, the Giants emerged with a 21-18 victory over the previously undefeated Chargers.

The win brings the Giants to 1-3 with a matchup against the Saints up next.

Here are the top performers from the Giants' Week 4 win.

JAXSON-DART

QB JAXSON DART

Dart completed 13 of 20 passes (65.0 percent) for 111 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the first start of his NFL career, finishing with a 96.0 passer rating. The young quarterback also added 10 yards for 54 yards (5.4 avg.) and an additional touchdown on the ground.

DEXTER-LAWRENCE-INT

DL DEXTER LAWRENCE

Lawrence made the play of the game, tipping a Justin Herbert pass at the line of scrimmage which he was able to bring down for an interception. The defensive lineman then returned it 37 yards to set the Giants up inside the 5-yard line. Lawrence added a tackle for loss.

CAM-SKATTEBO

RB CAM SKATTEBO

With Tyrone Tracy Jr. sidelined, Skattebo led the backfield with 25 rush attempts for 79 yards while adding two receptions for 11 yards. Skattebo also punched it into the end zone on a two-point conversion.

THEO-JOHNSON

TE Theo Johnson

Johnson caught just three passes for 17 yards, but was on the receiving end of Dart's first NFL touchdown pass. His final reception came on a 3rd and 5 late in the fourth quarter, which went for 10 yards and a first down to help take more time off the clock at the end of the game.

BRIAN-BURNS

OLB Brian Burns

Burns continued his dominant start to the season with yet another sack, his fifth in the first four games. Burns added five tackles (four solo) and four quarterback hits to go with the sack.

OLB Abdul Carter (51)

OLB ABDUL CARTER

Carter was getting pressure on Justin Herbert the entire game. The rookie outside linebacker finished with one solo tackle and a whopping five quarterback hits.

OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux (5)

OLB KAYVON THIBODEAUX

Thibodeaux had the Giants' other sack against the Chargers as the fourth-year outside linebacker recorded three quarterback hits.

CB Dru Phillips (22)

CB DRU PHILLIPS

Phillips had a strong bounce back performance in Week 4 as he registered a game-high four pass breakups, including his second interception of the season, along with two solo tackles.
