Steve Weatherford pins the Patriots back at the 6.

*9:00Tom Brady called for Intentional Grounding in the endzone. SAFETY. *Giants 2, Patriots 0.

*4:23 Victor Cruz catches a five-yard pass from Manning and is stripped by Sterling Moore. Brandon Spikes recovers the fumble, but the Patriots are called for 12 men on the field. NO PLAY.

*3:29 Manning two-yard touchdown to Victor Cruz. Safety James Ihedigbo was the closest to Cruz. "Back in the New York Groove" plays on the speakers in Lucas Oil Stadium. *Giants 9, Patriots 0.

*0:25 On the last play of the opening quarter, Wes Welker picks up 10 yards on a handoff. He was met by Aaron Ross, who made a big open-field tackle.

2:00 Two-minute warning. Patriots are driving with the ball at the New England 39.

0:18 On third down at the NYG 4, Jason Pierre-Paul stuffs FB Danny Woodheadfor a loss of one yard. Patriots call timeout.

0:15 Patriots go back to Woodhead on the next play. This time on a four-yard pass from Brady in the endzone. TOUCHDOWN. On the 24-play, 96-yard drive, Woodhead touched the ball seven times as Brady went 10-for-10. *Patriots 10, Giants 9.

*7:24 Patriots defense getting physical. Two plays after Patrick Chung put a lick on Hakeem Nicks down the sideline, Mario Manningham gets tackled hard by Moore for a five-yard pickup on third-and-10.

*6:47 Beginning on their own 35, the Giants put together a 10-play scoring drive, capped off by Lawrence Tynes' 38-yarder. *Patriots 17, Giants 12.

*6:12New York gets its first sack as Brady can't escape Justin Tuck for a four-yard loss. Tuck has 4.5 career sacks in the postseason, including two in Super Bowl XLII against the Patriots.

5:01 Henry Hynoski saves a turnover. After a 17-yard catch, Nicks was spun around by Mayo as the ball came loose. Hynoski was luckily there to recover at the NE 33.

*0:40 Tynes makes a 33-yard field goal. *Patriots 17, Giants 15.



15:00** Giants defense prayer circle at midfield near sideline.

14:31 On the second play of the final quarter, Chase Blackburn intercepts Brady on a deep pass down the left side at the NYG 8. Pierre-Paul hit Brady as he released the ball.

9:35Giants take their second timeout of the half. One remaining. On third down, Manning throws an incomplete pass to Manningham, broken up by Moore. The New York sideline was looking for a passing interference penalty, but none was called. Giants were forced to punt.

4:06 Welker slips past the coverage and Brady finds him for a wide open pass. However, as he had to turn around back to the ball, Welker could not reel it in. The pass fell incomplete, and the Patriots punted two plays later.

3:46 Manning pass deep left to Manningham pushed out of bounds at the 50 for a 38-yard pickup. Bill Belichick challenged the ruling, and the play was upheld.

2:00Two-minute warning. Giants have the ball on the Patriots 18 with a first down.

1:04 Ahmad Bradshaw up the middle for 6 yards, TOUCHDOWN. *Giants 21, Patriots 17.

*0:57Tom Brady and company begin with the ball on their own 20.

0:48 After two dropped passes, Tuck gets his second sack of Brady for a six-yard loss, setting up fourth-and-16.

0:05 On the NE 49, Tom Brady throws a Hail Mary into a crowd in the end zone. After a few bounces, the ball kicks out the back of the end zone incomplete.
