Cox suffered a fractured lower leg after catching a short pass on the Giants' final offensive possession in their loss in Seattle Sunday. The second-year pro finished his season with four rushing attempts for 33 yards, two receptions for nine yards and 11 kickoff returns for 261 yards, a team-best 23.7-yard average.

Darkwa, 5-11 and 215 pounds, played in four games for the Dolphins this season. He contributed on special teams in all four games and had three receptions for 31 yards at Buffalo on Sept. 14 and four rushing attempts for two yards at Oakland on Sept. 28.

Darkwa was signed by the Dolphins as a rookie free agent from Tulane on May 13. He was waived on Oct. 6 and signed to Miami's practice squad two days later.

At Tulane, Darkwa rushed for 2,953 yards and 39 touchdowns and added 77 receptions for 595 yards. He is a native of Nashville, Tenn.

*The Giants also made a switch of defensive backs on their practice squad, signing cornerback Josh Victorian and terminating the contract of safety Kyle Sebetic.

Victorian, 5-10 and 189 pounds, played in eight games in 2013 for the Houston Texans and four games with one start for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012. He was credited with nine solo tackles for the Steelers and five special teams tackles with the Texans.

Victorian has also been with the New Orleans Saints and on the practice squads of the New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, Texans and Steelers.
