Down to the same road whites they'll be wearing next Sunday, the Giants' run at Super Bowl XLVI can't escape the comparisons of the one made four years prior.

Some of them are real, while some storylines use a touch of creative license.

In one corner, you have the 2011 Giants, who will be the away team in Indy that grinded out a rocky regular season to make a playoff run. Just like the 2007 team, New York had to win on the road, once again booking a trip to the Super Bowl on a field goal in overtime.

Meanwhile, the Patriots are once again offensive juggernauts atop the AFC, led by Tom Brady breaking records along the way.

But you already knew all that and will be hearing it from every media outlet for the next week and a half. So here is a quick breakdown of the Super Bowl XLII and XLVI teams, juxtaposing the respective paths the two sides took to the knockout round.
