Giants Bumped Up in National Power Rankings

NFL.com's Power Poll slid the Giants up one spot to No. 12 as the top team in the NFC East.NFC East: No. 12 Giants (previously ranked No. 13t), No. 16t Redskins (10), No. 20 Cowboys (17), No. 21 Eagles (22).


FOX Sports moved the Giants up four places to No. 12, their highest ranking in that poll all season.

"The last two weeks have been like Jekyll and Hyde for the Giants," Brian Billick, now a FOX Sports analyst, wrote. "They lose to the Seahawks in Week 5 and then hold off the feisty Bills in Week 6. Thanks to the Redskins loss, the Giants now sit atop the NFC East all alone at 4-2."

NFC East: No. 12 Giants (16), No. 18 Eagles (21), No. 19 Redskins (10), No. 21 Cowboys (19).


Profootballtalk.com bumped the Giants up to No. 10.

"It was fitting that the rematch of Super Bowl XXV was decided by a field goal," PFT's Mike Florio posted.

NFC East: No. 10 Giants (13), No. 17 Redskins (12), No. 20 Cowboys (19), No. 21 Eagles (23).


The Giants shot up to No. 11 in ESPN.com's Power Rankings.

"The Giants are in first place in the NFC East, but after the bye and a game against Miami, the schedule gets brutally tough," staff writer Ashley Fox wrote.

NFC East: No. 11 Giants (14), No. 15 Redskins (10), No. 20 Eagles (21), No. 21 Cowboys (15).


CSBSports.com's Pete Prisco has the Giants at No. 8, three spots up from last week.

"They lead the NFC East, but it's tough to get a real handle on the Giants because of inconsistency. Heading to their bye, do we really know this team?"

NFC East: No. 8 Giants (11), No. 14 Redskins (8), No. 18 Cowboys (12), No. 21 Eagles (21).
