2017 Bracket Challenge: Notre Dame vs. Ole Miss

NOTRE DAME

Notables: TE Mark Bavaro (1985, 4th Rd), DE Justin Tuck (2005, 3rd Rd), DE Eric Dorsey (1986, 1st Rd)

Bavaro is one of the finest all-around tight ends in Giants history. An outstanding blocker, Bavaro was a starter on the Giants' 1986 and 1990 Super Bowl championship teams and a Pro Bowler in 1986 and '87. In the Giants' first Super Bowl season, Bavaro led the team with 66 catches – twice as many as any teammate – for 1,001 yards to become the only tight end in Giants history with 1,000 receiving yards in a season. Tuck holds the distinction as the only player in NFL history multiple sacks in multiple Super Bowls. He currently ranks sixth in franchise history with 60.5 sacks. Dorsey was another two-time Super Bowl champion with the Giants, helping them win in 1986 and 1990 as a member of some of the most feared defenses in league history.

VS.

OLE MISS

Notable: Eli Manning (2004, 1st Rd)

Eli Manning is a two time winner of the Most Valuable Player in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI. He is one of five players in NFL history to win multiple Super Bowl MVP awards (Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Terry Bradshaw, Bart Starr). The first overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft owns every major passing record in Giants franchise history while ranking seventh in NFL history in completions (4,072), eighth in passing yards (48,214), and seventh in passing touchdowns (320).
