Terrance Armstrong completes the 2007 Draft Day 5K in 15:20.

On Saturday morning, several hours before the 2007 NFL Draft, 1,200 runners and Giants fans were enjoying some exercise as they participated in the 2007 Giants Foundation Draft Day 5K.  The record crowd proved to have some tremendous athletes in the bunch, as Terrance Armstrong of Pompton Lakes, NJ, finished the more than three mile race in a course record time of 15 minutes and 20 seconds.  The top female performer was Bronawyn O'Leary of Cliffwood Beach, NJ, who finished in 19 minutes and 55 seconds.

There were plenty more runners who were simply looking to enjoy a pleasant morning strolling around Giants Stadium amongst many eager Giants fans.  Plenty of local charities benefited from the day as well, as proceeds from the race go to The Giants Foundation, which supports charitable organizations in the metropolitan area involved in issues such as education, health, youth-related services or civic affairs.

With enjoyable weather, plenty of food, great Giants giveaways and random prizes, and free admission into the Giants Draft Party for all runners, it was a great day for everyone.  The Giants Foundation would like to thank Aquafina, Aramark, Content, Dunkin Donuts, Gatorade, Reebok, Toyota and Verizon for their generous support of the Giants Foundation Draft Day 5K.  We hope to see everyone return in 2008 for another great race as the Draft Day 5K finish line returns to the stadium field!
