For the eighth consecutive year, the NY Giants hosted their annual Jingle Jam event on Monday, December 10th, bringing together children in New Jersey's foster care system for a night of holiday cheer, cupcakes by the Cake Boss and time spent with NY Giants players.
Over 40 New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) caseworkers spent time with children in their care, some also volunteered, along with the MetLife Stadium staff and the Giants wives and girlfriends to deliver the holiday cheer. "The NY Giants would like to thank everyone who came out to help make Jingle Jam such a huge success and certainly an event to never forget," said Allison Stangeby, Director of Community Relations for the NY Giants. "One of the most memorable moments for all of us in attendance was a special appearance by four Santa Clauses played by Giants players Kevin Boothe, Bear Pascoe, Jim Cordle and Matt McCants."
In addition, Giants players Corey Webster, Chase Blackburn, Mark Herzlich, David Baas, Will Beatty and Larry Donnell signed autographs and spent time with the children.
The 'kid friendly' event, held in the Lexus Club at MetLife Stadium, featured a DJ, photo booth, arts and crafts section, karaoke, face painter and lots of delicious treats such as milkshakes, dirt cups and other snacks. All of the children who came to Jingle Jam were given a brand new winter coat, a NY Giants winter hat, a duffle bag and their choice of a football or basketball.
