Jerry started all 16 games at right guard in his first season with the Giants. He signed with the team as a free agent on March 21, 2014. Jerry had arthroscopic knee surgery on May 29 and did not start until the final preseason game. He was part of a line that helped the Giants finish 10th in the NFL in yards-per-game (367.2), including seventh in passing yardage (267.0), and was instrumental in Eli Manning setting a franchise record with 379 completions. Â
Including his tenure with the Miami Dolphins, Jerry has started 49 consecutive games – the final game of the 2011 season at left tackle and the last 48 at right guard.
Jerry is entering his sixth NFL season. He was Miami's third-round draft choice in 2010, from Ole Miss.
Brown was claimed off waivers on Nov. 5, one day after he was released by the Baltimore Ravens and two days after cornerback Prince Amukamara's season ended when he tore his right biceps vs. Indianapolis.
Brown played in eight games for the Giants, including starts at right cornerback in each of the last four. He finished with 32 tackles (25 solo) and two passes defensed. He made his Giants debut at Seattle on Nov. 9 and was credited with his first three tackles (two solo) and a pass defensed the following week vs. San Francisco.
Brown had a season-high seven tackles (five solo) at Jacksonville on Nov. 30. He started as a Giant for the first time a week later at Tennessee and contributed five solo tackles, a total he matched in the following game vs. Washington. Brown tallied four solo tackles at St. Louis on Dec. 21 and six (three solo) and a pass defensed vs. Philadelphia in the season finale.
Brown, a 2011 fifth-round draft choice by the Ravens from Texas, played 3½ seasons in Baltimore before his release.
