Giants to air 'Blue-White Scrimmage Special' presented by Quest Diagnostics on NBC 4 NY

NEW YORK, NY – The wait is finally over. Big Blue football is back – and NBC 4 New York is the home for all the action. The station and the New York Giants announced another special inside look at the team's Blue-White Scrimmage, airing Friday, September 4th at 7 p.m. ET. The "Giants Blue-White Scrimmage Special" is presented by Quest Diagnostics, a Proud Partner in Health of the New York Giants. The program will also be available on-demand through Giants.com, the Giants Mobile App, and on the Giants YouTube page following the completion of the original airing.

"In these unique times, we are constantly looking for ways to engage Giants fans and provide more access to the organization," said Giants Chief Commercial Officer Pete Guelli. "This scrimmage special will give them an up-close look at how Coach Judge and this staff are preparing the team for the upcoming season."

"This is the first in-depth opportunity for Giants fans to see their team in action," said Eric Lerner, President and General Manager of NBC 4 New York. "Our two unique broadcast specials offer an exclusive look ahead to the upcoming season, featuring final on-field preparations and interviews with Head Coach Judge, along with many of the team's brightest stars."

Bob Papa, the voice of the Giants, and Super Bowl champions Carl Banks and Shaun O'Hara will host the "Giants Blue-White Scrimmage Special", with NBC 4 New York lead sports anchor Bruce Beck joining as a special contributor. The 60-minute look-in will capture the best moments, highlights, and sounds from the sidelines.

Held at MetLife Stadium, the intrasquad scrimmages have been a first of their kind for the Giants in recent history. Judge seized the opportunity to "let our guys play at full speed" as they prepare for the 2020 season in an unprecedented time in sports.

"This will look a whole lot like every high school and college scrimmage in America," says Giants head coach Joe Judge. "Offense on one sideline, defense on the other. We'll create situations on the field and let them play live football all the way through. We have to get an opportunity to let our guys play at full speed. Let them go out there and experience the game and demonstrate they can operate when coaches aren't yelling in their ears and trying to make corrections. We just have to get them out there and let them play."
