WR Victor Cruz vs. Jets' secondary

An undrafted rookie, Cruz broke onto the national scene and became a fan favorite for his highlight reel against the Jets last preseason. Entering the game late in the third quarter, Cruz went on to catch six passes for 146 yards, including three touchdowns. With scores of 64, 34 and 5 yards, Cruz will try to re-live the good memories as the Giants will now be the home team. In two preseason games so far, Cruz has five catches for 50 yards with no touchdowns.

Giants' secondary vs. WR Plaxico Burress**

The defensive backfield suffered two blows last week when cornerbacks Terrell Thomas and Brian Witherspoon went down with season-ending injuries. As the Giants fill the void, they will see Plaxico Burress in another uniform for the first time. Burress made his return last week when the Jets beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 27-7. Out of football for nearly three years, Burress had three catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in his return. Quarterback Mark Sanchez went to him early and often. On the first offensive play, the two connected on a 20-yard pass while Sanchez targeted Burress seven times in the game.

New York fans vs. Hurricane Irene**

The 7 p.m. kickoff is the third scheduling change after the hurricane bumped Saturday night's original start time. As mass transit starts to re-open and due to road closures, the Giants announced today parking will be free at the game. Giants fans will now see their team play twice in four days as the team travels to New England to face the Patriots in the preseason-finale on Thursday.
