Make the Case: Which OL could the Giants take?

TIPPMANN-SCHMITZ-MTC

"Make the Case" has once again returned on Giants.com.

In this series, we look at projections provided by analysts and then ask you, the fans, to weigh in on what the Giants should do in the draft.

Next up is a debate between the selections from two of NFL Network's top analysts - Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.

Pick: Joe Tippmann, IOL, Wisconsin

Height: 6-6 | Weight: 313

2022 stats: 12 games, allowed one sack and five total pressures on 338 pass blocking snaps

Accolades: All-Big Ten Honorable Mention (2021, 2022)

"The Giants did a nice job adding some much-needed speed to the skill positions in free agency. Tippman would team up with two young, talented offensive tackles to protect Daniel Jones for the foreseeable future."

Pick: John Michael Schmitz, IOL, Minnesota

Height: 6-3 | Weight: 301

2022 stats: 12 games, allowed two sacks and eight total pressures on 302 pass blocking snaps

Accolades: First-Team All-American (2022), First-Team All-Big Ten (2022), Second-Team All-Big Ten (2021), All-Big Ten Honorable Mention (2020)

"Beefing up the interior of the offensive line is critical to helping the recently extended Daniel Jones flourish as a franchise quarterback."
