Q: How upset are you about what transpired this year for this team?**
A: It's nothing to be upset about. I think as a group of men, we started the season out 0-6 and that's not a good way to start the season out. We learned from it and just have to come back next year and get better.

A: A very high level. That's my plan. The offseason – go hard, train very hard and get back healthy. That's my level. I think if I do that, everything will fall in my favor.
Q: Is there a timetable at all for when you'll switch from rehabbing to training?
A: I'm going to get started on it very quickly. It's not going to be an offseason for me, I'm going to spend that time getting healthy and going into training. I'm going to get back very quickly. That's my point. I'll be here most of the time and that's basically it.
Q: How does the shoulder feel right now?
A: My shoulder is feeling good. Range of motion is good, it's getting better. I'm starting to lift weights a little bit now. Like I said, I will know by the end of this month, January, if I'm going to need surgery or not. Right now I'm good but you never know.
Q: It's something you want…
A: Yeah, I want to be 100 percent. I don't want to go into the season iffy about it and then fall off short and have to do surgery again. That's not my goal. My goal is to find out right away if I need it and take care of it and come back healthy.
Q: Do you have any doubt that you can return to the high level of play of the past?
A: I don't have any doubt at all. There's no question in my head because I know what I bring to the table and what I bring to this team and to the table is – you can't put that on a pedestal, you know what I'm saying? That's just me, period. I know what I bring to the table. At the end of the day it's been a very tough season for me but I have to look past that. This is one of those seasons, I was injured, fighting injuries all through the season but I'm not mad at it. This is football, you never know what's going to happen. Guys got injured yesterday, you didn't know they were going to get injured yesterday. It is what it is. The only thing I can do now is learn from it, get back healthy and just get out there next year.
Q: You're heading into a big year for you.
A: Yeah, a contract, that isn't what it is. My play is going to take care of my contract and I know that I'm going to perform very well.
Q: Justin, he had a contract year.
A: We're two different people. I know what I bring to the table. Everybody on this team knows, even the players know, so I'm good.
Q: Would you be shocked if he's not next to you next year?
A: Yeah, I'd be very shocked. That means everything falls on me then basically. I'm pretty sure he's going to be here next year. If not, then that's even more on my plate and I'm ready to take it. It is what it is. This is a business and I'm pretty sure Justin will do the right thing and make the right decision for him and his family.
Q: How much is what you learned from the back, kind of rushing in…?
A: Trust me there's no need to rush. Just try to get healthy. At the end of the day it's your career at stake. You know you want to be out there with your team but you have to do what's best for you.
