Below is a look at the latest unconfirmed New York Giants 2022 NFL Draft rumors and buzz from various media members not associated with the Giants.

April
Others have this out there, but a good league source believes Derek Stingley Jr. to #Texans is a near-lock at No. 3. That is GREAT news for #Jets and #Giants. Bumps down edge rushers, offensive tackles and Sauce.
— Ryan Dunleavy (@rydunleavy) April 28, 2022
Teams that sources are most often linking as POTENTIAL QB TEAMS in first round …
— Peter Schrager (@PSchrags) April 28, 2022
Carolina, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and Detroit.
Two more teams that are open to moving down, if things fall a certain way—the Commanders and Saints. If a receiver they like isn't there at 11, Washington might slide back a few slots. And the Saints could move off 19.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) April 28, 2022
(Not as many teams looking to go up.)
NFL front office person to me today:
— Matt Miller (@nfldraftscout) April 28, 2022
“Picks 1-2 will be as expected. Then all hell is going to break loose.”
He expects a surprise from the #Texans. #NFLDraft
Buzz about Giants and WRs is interesting. Think that becomes more likely if they trade back. Schoen puts an emphasis on positional value (refreshing), so with WR market exploding, can't be ruled out at 7, especially with WR room potentially completely overhauled by next year.
— Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) April 28, 2022
One veteran front-office executive this morning: “This is the craziest draft I’ve seen in 30 years.”
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 28, 2022
Someone wants word out there that the #Giants would consider taking a WR with the No. 7 pick.
— Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) April 28, 2022
Not sold that will happen, but I don't think it's outrageous to suggest they could go that route, especially if it's Jameson Williams, imo.
Or is it trying to scare team to trade up?
One thing I have heard from a few sources is if the #Giants are looking to trade back from No. 7, there is a market among the top-10 to 15 picks. At least two teams in that range trying to move up. Depends on how top six plays out.
— Matt Lombardo (@MattLombardoNFL) April 26, 2022
Something to watch Thursday night. #NFLDraft
Some inside #Giants are high on CB Kaiir Elam, I’m told. Problem is he probably won’t last until pick 36. If they don’t get Sauce Gardner at 5 and trade from 7 to 20ish …. 🤔 #NFLDraft
— Ryan Dunleavy (@rydunleavy) April 25, 2022
Source: @AlabamaFTBL LB Christian Harris had top-30 visits with the #Eagles, #Texans, #Bills, #Commanders, #Jags, #Saints and #Giants.
— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) April 22, 2022
Harris, who had 3 sacks in the national title game, ran a lightning fast 4.44 and broad jumped 11-feet.
Schoen said the Giants were hosting six prospects on top-30 visits today (the last day for pre-draft visits). Houston edge rusher Logan Hall and Oklahoma LB Brian Asamoah among the visitors, per sources.
— Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) April 20, 2022
Virginia TE Jelani Woods — who tested off the charts at 6-foot-7, 275 pounds — is in New York on a “Top 30” visit with the #Giants today before visiting the #Falcons on Wednesday, per source. He’s met with 20 teams since the combine, including recent #Colts and #Bills workouts.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) April 18, 2022
SDSU RB Pierre Strong Jr is meeting with the Jets & Giants this week. #Jets is a top 30 visit. #NYG workout will be in Strong’s hometown of Little Rock, AR. I believe Pierre was the fastest RB at the combine with a 4.37 40. (And he can throw a TD pass, too.)
— Kim Jones (@KimJonesSports) April 18, 2022
The #Giants are hosting #UConn DT Travis Jones for a top-30 pre-draft visit, per sources.
— Matt Lombardo (@MattLombardoNFL) April 15, 2022
Jones produced 4.5 sacks last season and could provide a solid interior pass rush. #NFLDraft
Georgia safety Lewis Cine is on a "30" visit with the #Giants today, per source.
— Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) April 13, 2022
Would be a great fit. Not sure Cine makes it to No. 36, however. If he's there, and the Giants are still there, I think he'd receive strong consideration to be the pick.
Potential top pick Aiden Hutchinson is scheduled to visit today with the Giants, per source. The Michigan edge rusher had 14 sacks this past season. If Giants have any real hopes of landing Hutchinson they will likely have to trade up. #NFLDraft
— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) April 13, 2022
The Giants hosted NC State OT Ikem Ekwonu for a visit on Monday, per source. Continues their run of bringing in most of draft’s top prospects. If Ekwonu is actually there at pick 5, hard to see him lasting much longer. Considered by many the top OL in the draft.
— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) April 12, 2022
Sources: Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson is visiting the Giants in Jersey tomorrow, and will visit the Jets on Friday. Seems unlikely he'll get to either team, at 4 or 5, but they're doing their homework.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) April 12, 2022
Hutchinson already visited the Jags, and is set to visit the Lions next week.
Per sources, I'm told the #Giants also hosted #Tulsa OL Tyler Smith on a top-30 visit.
— Matt Lombardo (@MattLombardoNFL) April 12, 2022
Smith could be an early second-round target if New York doesn't take a tackle in Round 1.
Cincinnati corner Sauce Gardner @iamSauceGardner is visiting the New York Giants today. His other visits are Texans, Jets, Eagles, Lions and Seahawks @GoBEARCATS #Giants #Texans #Jets #Eagles #Lions #Seahawks #NFLDraft2022https://t.co/P2tzCMK9wj
— Aaron Wilson (@AaronWilson_NFL) April 12, 2022
The #Giants are hosting some of the top prospects on their top-30 visit, per sources. #Oregon EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux, #Cincinnati CB Sauce Gardner, and #Alabama OT Evan Neal are in town.
— Matt Lombardo (@MattLombardoNFL) April 12, 2022
SDSU RB Pierre Strong Jr. will visit the #Cardinals on a Top 30 today. He'll work out privately for #Giants later this month. Strong has/will meet virtually w/ #Jets, #Buccaneers and #Ravens, to name a few.
— Justin M (@JustinM_NFL) April 11, 2022
LOTS of interest in a dual threat RB that ran 4.37 in Indianapolis.
The #Jets and #Giants also hosted Alabama OT Evan Neal last week, per source, with Michigan edge Aidan Hutchinson and NC State OT Ickey Ekwonu set to visit both teams this week. All three already have visited the #Jaguars, who own the No. 1 overall pick. https://t.co/LawVIvVIC6
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) April 11, 2022
It’s another busy week for Oregon DE Kayvon Thibodeaux, who heads to Detroit for a visit with the #Lions (No. 2 pick) on Tuesday, then has the #Giants (5) on Thursday and #Jets (4) on Friday, per sources. He visited the #Texans (3) last week.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) April 11, 2022
Washington State OT Abe Lucas is having a Top 30 visit with the Giants, per source. Lucas a potential option in the second round. He projects as a starting right tackle. Good pass protector.
— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) April 8, 2022
Other locals with #Giants at their Pro Day, per sources:
— Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) April 7, 2022
Washington St QB Jarrett Guarantano. Lodi native starred at Bergen Catholic. Was at Tennessee. Grad transfer at Wazzu.
Rutgers TE Jovani Haskins starred at Bergenfield. Versatile developmental player, WVU/MIA transfer. https://t.co/zH86erpIrr
Sources: Texas A&M All-American OL Kenyon Green, who made starts at every single offensive line position except center this past season, is with the #Cowboys today.
— Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) April 6, 2022
Also on his schedule: Giants, Eagles, Titans, Texans, Falcons, Bears and Patriots.
Busy.
All 32 teams in Baton Rouge for LSU pro-day. Top decision-makers are Steelers GM Kevin Colbert & HC Mike Tomlin, Commanders GM Martin Mayhew, & Chargers HC Brandon Staley.

Nine DB coaches here to workout junior CB Derek Stingley Jr: AZ, ATL, DET, LAC, NYJ, NYG, PHI, PIT, SEA pic.twitter.com/bxRXbf77dH
The Giants have a top-30 visit scheduled with Georgia safety Lewis Cine, per source. Safety an obvious need (only two currently on the roster). Cine could be an option at pick 36 if he lasts that long.
— Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) April 6, 2022
The Giants have a number of prospects in for 30 visits today. The headliner, without question, is Georgia DL Trevon Walker, who'd be a consideration for the team at 5.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) April 5, 2022
Also notable—Alabama RB Brian Robinson, Iowa State RB Breece Hall and Georgia RB James Cook were there too.
Tae Crowder's IG story shows a pair of his former Georgia teammates — Edge Travon Walker and RB James Cook — are the facility for their top 30 visits. Also, the ping pong tables are back in the locker room.
— Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) April 5, 2022
Georgia DE Travon Walker is having a pre-draft visit with the Giants on Tuesday. GM Joe Schoen was at the Georgia Pro Day as well. So Giants getting a good look at the top prospect. He had 6.0 sacks this past season.
— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) April 5, 2022
NFL teams have been sending fewer coaches to pro-days past two years but that was far from case today at Central Michigan. 11 clubs sent OL coaches to workout future NFL starters Bernhard Raimann & Luke Goedeke. Teams present: AZ, BAL, CAR, CIN, DET, GB, JAX, NYJ, NYG, PHI, TEN. pic.twitter.com/ySl09p8sSi
— Jim Nagy (@JimNagy_SB) April 5, 2022
Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson and NC State OT Ikem Ekwonu are in Jax today to visit the Jags. Agent @MikeMcCartney7's worked to limit their travel, so both have just 4 "30" visits set.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) April 4, 2022
They'll also visit both NY teams, and their local teams (Lions for Hutch, Panthers for Ickey.)
As I mentioned on @GMFB, Giants GM Joe Schoen will be at the Oregon Pro Day today. DC Jeff Ulbrich will be in attendance from the Jets.
— Peter Schrager (@PSchrags) April 1, 2022
All 32 teams at @oregonfootball pro-day for Kayvon Thibodeaux & Verone McKinley workouts, including big groups from Lions (7), Seahawks (7) & Giants (5). Smart teams also taking in-person opportunity to hit up new HC Dan Lanning about all the Top-50 talent he coached at Georgia. pic.twitter.com/Vb15zDcF0G

March
🚨PRO-DAY UPDATE
— Jim Nagy (@JimNagy_SB) March 31, 2022
Fast ascending Day 2 Tennessee-Chattanooga C/G Cole Strange worked out for OL coaches from Titans, Giants, Panthers, and Giants this morning. Strange only did position drills after putting up stellar Combine numbers (5.03 40-yd, 31x BP, 10-0 BJ, 7.44 3C).📈💤 pic.twitter.com/rjIXBPZNrC
Clearly, @JeffRubys was the place to be in Cincy last night. Expected first-round CB Sauce Gardner went there last night: w/ the #Saints for appetizers and the #Giants for the main course.

Per source, Giants have at least 2 scouts at the Michigan State Pro Day. RB Kenneth Walker III, one of the top backs in the draft class, is the primary attraction.
