Locker Room Quick Hits

Recently signed WR Brandon Stokley spoke about getting up to speed:

"Football is football. Routes are routes. At some point, you just got to go out there and play. I learned that you can't really overthink when you get on the field. You have to let your ability take over, and so that's what we're trying to do if I'm playing on Monday."

DT Chris Canty answered questions on getting past last week's performance:

"We had to put that game to bed. That game is over. There is nothing we can do about that ballgame. What we can do is come to work. We can come to work focused, intense in our focus, be sharper in our practices, be sharper in our meetings so we can give ourselves a better opportunity to be successful on Monday."

Canty was then asked what he has seen this week at the Giants' facility:

"You can just feel the energy in practice. You can see guys putting a little bit of extra time in film study. Guys are being more inquisitive asking more questions, trying to get have more attention to detail. So that's definitely been showing up in our practices, and hopefully we bring that to the game."

WR Victor Cruz commented on Stokley's arrival:

"I definitely want to learn from him. He's been in the league 13 years, and he has a lot of wisdom. He knows a lot of things that I obviously don't know at this point. I haven't picked his brain just yet, but I plan on picking his brain a little bit and learning some stuff that he knows in just kind of talking to him and understanding what he sees out there. A guy with that kind of wisdom, he's been in the league that many years, he knows a lot more."

S Kenny Phillipstalked about mistakes from Week 1:

"It's easy to correct just because they were simple. Come down right or tell this person this, tell that person that. It's really simple so it's nothing to really harp on."

WR Hakeem Nicksexpects to play Monday night:

"Feeling pretty good. Went out there today, did some stuff. It was kind of like a light day so I didn't get to do too much, but I felt normal out there for what I did do."
