MSG to deliver five nights of "Giants Week"

MSG, the official regional sports network of the New York Giants, will kick off its 2012-13 coverage of Giants football with "Giants Week fueled by HESS"  – five nights of exclusive programming featuring the Super Bowl Champions – from Monday, August 20 through Friday, August 24.

Starting Monday, August 20 at 7:30 p.m., MSG will telecast three consecutive nights of "Live from Giants Training Camp," followed by an all-new "Giants Chronicles" with Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning on Thursday night and a "Giants Chronicles" mini-marathon Friday night before the defending Super Bowl Champions take on the Chicago Bears in their second preseason game.

"We are very proud of our partnership with the Super Bowl Champions and look forward to delivering our weekly Giants programming lineup to their dedicated fans all season long."

"Live from Giants Training Camp," hosted by Bob Papa and Carl Banks on Monday and Tuesday, and Papa and Roman Oben on Wednesday, will bring Giants fans the latest news and highlights, along with live interviews and fan call-ins from the Timex Performance Center as the team continues summer training camp in New Jersey after spending more than three weeks in Albany, NY. The program will also include special reports from the sidelines as well as interviews with coaches and players.

In the latest edition of "Giants Chronicles," which debuts Thursday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m., Papa sits down with Eli Manning to review the 2011 season and the team's second Super Bowl win in five years. On Friday, August 24, starting at 6:00 p.m., MSG will show a mini-marathon of "Giants Chronicles," including episodes about the Giants rivalries through the years, the career of Michael Strahan, the team's Super Bowl appearances, and an encore presentation of Manning's 2011 year in review.

MSG Networks' regular season coverage of the Giants, on both MSG and MSG , starts on Wednesday, September 5 and is comprised of four weekly shows:  "Giants Opening Drive Live," a live 90-minute weekly pregame show; "Giants Rewind," a half-hour review of the previous week's game; "Giants Press Conference," a weekly half-hour program including Coach Tom Coughlin's live press conference, player interviews and fan call-ins; and all-new episodes of "Giants Chronicles" all season long.

As the exclusive local television home of the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres, New York Liberty and New York Red Bulls, and the official regional sports network of the New York Giants, MSG Networks telecasts over 400 live professional games per year. MSG Networks also telecasts 150 live college basketball games and 50 live college football games from top national conferences (SEC, Pac 12, Big 12), as well as horse racing, boxing and award-winning original programming. In 2012, MSG Networks earned 16 New York Emmy Awards, including 14 for MSG – tops in the New York region for the third year in a row – and two for MSG . Over the past five years, MSG Networks has totaled 77 New York Emmy Awards, including 69 for MSG – also the most of any New York station or network in that time – and eight for MSG .
