Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) returned to practice on a limited basis.

"He did warm up well and he took a few plays," Coach Tom Coughlin said. "He is definitely in the right direction."

Four other players were limited: center David Baas (knee), defensive end Osi Umenyiora (knee), cornerback Prince Amukamara (foot) and tackle Stacy Andrews (back).

Baas missed the New England game, but is on track to return against the team for whom he played his first six seasons.

"Today I'm feeling a lot better," Baas said. "We did a lot more than yesterday. Some good pounding on the knee - I think it's responding well. I'm going to get some treatment and make sure I continue to keep it right. But I think we're making good progress."

Amukamara is practicing this week with the defense for the first time. His previous work was with the scout team.

"I am encouraged to have him out here," Coughlin said. "It is just a question now of what extent can we involve him and the idea of playing him on Sunday. That still has not been clarified for me."

Amukamara, the Giants' first-round draft choice this year, has yet to make his NFL debut because of the broken foot he suffered on Aug. 6.

"He is going to fit in, but I don't know if he is to the point where he can go play 50 plays or 45 plays," Coughlin said. "You can manage it, but you only have so many people in that position. Once you train a guy for a special situation defense all week long, it is difficult to have someone else ready to go."

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) and wide receiver/return specialist Jerrel Jernigan (hip) did not practice today. "(Bradshaw) is in every meeting," Coughlin said of Bradshaw's absence from the sideline. "They don't want him to stand around out here.

Fullback Henry Hynoski (neck) practiced fully and here is the FULL INJURY REPORT
