Postgame Giants Players

JONATHAN GOFF:

It was a great team effort; a hell of a team effort.  And that is what it is going to take to win a game like this.  We had a great game plan and we executed it well.  And everybody laid it down on the line.  When your backs are against the wall, you have to come out and play ball.  And that is what we did.  It was a great win and we have to keep it rolling and we have to ascend.

DOMENIK HIXON ON TD RETURN:

We have been working so hard on it and to have it happen in a game like this is great.  Everybody did a great job of blocking and they set it up real well.  It worked the way we needed it to.  They were kicking the ball with great hang time and we didn't get a chance to set them up like we wanted to.  But on the return it was just drawn up the way it was suppose to.  Credit goes to those ten guys up front.  The game was close and we needed some momentum.  And a play like that is a real statement.

OSI UMENYIORA ON FUMBLE RECOVERY:

I was just in the right place at the right time.  It was a crucial time in the game.  It was a huge momentum swing.  You have to give Kiwi (Mathias Kiwanuka) credit because he was the one that stripped it.  We had great rotation in there today.  We are fighters; that is what we do.  We never give up and we are never going to give up.  That's what Giants do and I'm just happy to be a part of this team.

AHMAD BRADSHAW:

After the fumble I was really mad at myself.  I had to come back and make up for it.  On that play I get antsy and I always try to cut that play back.  Usually it doesn't hit but today I broke an arm tackle and I was able to cut back across the grain and it opened up perfect.  Hey, Brandon made a great run on his catch.  That is a big dude running down there.  It was a huge play but it doesn't surprise me because I know Brandon is capable of making that play.  A lot of guys made huge plays today on all sides of the ball and that was the difference today.

BRANDON JACOBS ON TOUCHDOWN RECEPTION:

When we are throwing the ball, the first thing backs think about is pass protection – who do you have and what call did Eli make.  I saw my guys didn't come and tried to get out as fast as I could.  Eli gave me a ball to catch and I just took off down the sideline.  Darcy Johnson led me the whole way down.  He did a phenomenal job.  Hey, we just proved that we are a mentally tough team today.  Our backs were against the wall and we came out and we played a real physical game.  And every guy in this locker room is able to do that.  We need to play like that every game.  I thought our defense played phenomenal.  We got a lot of pressure and I thought they stopped the run pretty well.  And that is how you get wins.

CLINT SINTIM:

It is a huge win for this football team.  It means a lot to win a game in your division.  You have to take advantage of the opportunity when you are playing at home.  Today was just a great team effort.  There are things that we can improve on but today we did a lot of great things.  We knew we had to keep a lot of guys fresh because they have a huge offensive line.  Success was going to be in our numbers.  We have a lot of quality guys on that defensive front that can all roll in and play.  And we just tried to take advantage of that.  I think Coach Waufle did a great job of rotating guys in.  This puts us right back in it and we have an opportunity to make the playoffs.

SHAUN O'HARA:

Defense was huge for us today.  They created turnovers; they gave us field position.  And Osi picking that ball up – it was an unbelievable play.  Give credit to Kiwi for stripping it.  Our defense played extremely well today.  Our running backs made some big plays.  And Brandon made a huge play on a simple pass play.  I can't say enough about Ahmad the way he came in and the way he ran the ball.  Those were big plays and they really became the determining factor in the win.  This was just a great team win.  We stopped them when we had to.  Our offense came through when we needed points.  This is the way we are used to playing football.  We need to just keep playing like this and remember what this feels like.
