Q: Can you put a finger on why things didn't come together today?**

A:No. I mean, we can point a lot of fingers but it's still not going to change the outcome. They were the best team today, hands down.

Q: Did they show you something different this time?

A:Nothing at all. Nothing different at all. Like I said, they were the better team, from top to bottom, but we still have two games left to compete and hopefully we turn things around.

Q: Do you feel that you guys came out flat today?

A:I don't think we came out flat, we just didn't have enough fight throughout the entire game. It's football, man, if you don't have enough fight then you don't deserve to be on the field and that's the bottom line. We have to get that together.

Q: How frustrating is today's loss?

A:I don't want to say much on that but it is definitely frustrating. I have said that we are the better team but they [Washington] beat us twice so clearly they're the better team at this moment. We have got to get back.

Q: Will the team pull together?

A:We better. It's either that or we go home. It starts throughout the week.

Q: What's the emphasis on next week's game against the Jets?

A:It puts everything on it. It's either win or go home. We just have to find a way to get it done. We need to come up with a better plan. Obviously what we are doing right now just isn't good enough.

Q: How tough was today for the secondary?**

A:It was really tough. The quarterback made plays, the receivers made plays and they completed passes on us.

Q: What happened on that touchdown in the second quarter?

A:He beat our coverage.

Q: Was that man your responsibility?

A:He was my responsibility.

Q: How tough is this loss as a whole?

A:It's definitely hard to digest but like coach said, we just need to worry about these next two games and take it one game at a time and our goal is still there to be NFC East champs so we just need to take it one game at a time.

Q: How do you feel you played?

A:As a competitor and as a player, I always think that there are a lot of things that I can work on. I'm still not where I want to be and I'm still not where the coaches want me to be.

Q: What happened at halftime? Did the coaches tell you that you wouldn't be in?

A:It was the coach's decision. He just told me that they were going with a different package.

Q: What were your teammates telling you after a couple of difficult plays out there?

A:They were being my big brothers. They were telling me to just forget about the play and to keep making plays and worry about the next one.

Q: It seems like it can never be easy here, am I right?**

A:Absolutely. We had a tremendous opportunity here against a division opponent and we let it slip through our fingers. We didn't take advantage of it and we did not play New York Giants football. It was a very disappointing loss. Too many mistakes, too many penalties, we just didn't make enough plays.

Q: How can you explain where this team was a week ago and what we saw on the field today?

A:I don't know and that's the frustrating part about it. We played against a very difficult division opponent on the road, performed at a very high level and we were able to get a win. Then we come back home, an environment where we should have a lot of energy, sharper execution and we did not demonstrate great purpose or great focus. We looked like the four-win team out there today rather than the Redskins. It's embarrassing, I'm embarrassed.

Q: Are you worried that everything is slipping away now?

A:No, I can't worry about that. This game is gone, there's nothing we can do about this opportunity. We've got two games ahead of us and we still have an opportunity to do exactly what we want to do, what we set out to do so we are going to go to work tomorrow and figure out what went wrong today and try to get it corrected in a hurry because we have a short week and we don't have a lot of opportunity so we need to lick our wounds and move forward.

Q: What is the focus for this week?

A:Well, first off we need to start with better preparation. I think that we need a little more focus, a little more intensity and practice and prepare with a greater purpose. We just need to be sharper and crisper this time of year. The stakes get higher, the intensity picks up and it is just what it is in the National Football League. We need to start there.

Q: Are you guys worn down with each game carrying so much significance?

A:No, that's not wearing us down, that's what you play for. Anyone that likes to compete loves to be in those types of situations. It's energizing us rather than wearing us down. Knowing that everything means something, every game is going to get bigger, that energizes competitors but unfortunately we didn't play with the energy that we needed to win this football game today and that's what's disappointing.
