Notes and statistics from the Giants' 41-27 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

*The Giants improved to 3-2 and moved into a first-place tie in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles, who lost in Pittsburgh.

*The Giants have won their last eight games against the AFC, including Super Bowl XLVI. Their last loss to an AFC team was to Tennessee on Sept. 26, 2010.

*This was the 10th time the Giants scored at least 41 points in the nine-year Tom Coughlin era.

*The Giants scored 27 points in the first half, their highest total in the first two quarters since Nov. 7, 2010, when they scored 35 in a victory in Seattle.

*Their 20-point second quarter was their most productive second quarter since they scored 20 vs.  Washington on Sept. 19, 2004 (Coughlin's first victory with the Giants).

*The Giants gained 502 yards, their second-highest total of the season. They finished with 609 yards in a victory over Tampa Bay on Sept. 16.

*The Giants rushed for 243 yards, their highest total since finishing with 301 against Carolina on Dec. 21, 2008.

*The Giants' 30 first downs was their second-highest total of the season (they had 31 vs. Tampa Bay).

*The Giants had touchdown drives of 92 and 95 yards, the longest possessions since they had a 96-yard march vs. Dallas in the 2011 season finale on Jan. 1, 2012.

*The game began poorly for the Giants when Ahmad Bradshaw fumbled when guard Chris Snee collided with the ball. It was the Giants' first turnover on their opening offensive play since Oct. 15, 2006, when Eli Manning's pass for Visanthe Schianco was intercepted by Atlanta's Demorrio Williams. They had last lost a fumble on their first play on Nov. 24, 2002, when Tiki Barber fumbled at Houston.

*The turnover led to Trent Richardson's 15-yard touchdown run just 52 seconds into the game. It was the fastest the Giants have been scored upon since Nov. 25, 2007, when Minnesota's Sidney Rice scored a touchdown 41 seconds into game.

*The Browns were the first Giants opponent to score a touchdown on their first possession since the Jets last Dec. 24.

*The victory was Coughlin 77th in the regular season as the team's head coach. That ties Coughlin with Bill Parcells for second place on the Giants' career list. Hall of Famer Steve Owen is first with 153 victories as the Giants head coach from 1931-53.

*Coughlin's 145 career regular-season victories tie him with St. Louis' Jeff Fisher for 18th on the NFL's all-time list. Including postseason wins, Coughlin has 157 victories, good for 17th on the league's career list.

*Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 200 yards on 30 carries, both career highs. His previous bests were 26 rushing attempts vs. Buffalo on Oct. 16, 2011 and 151 yards at Buffalo on Dec. 23, 2007.

*Bradshaw had the ninth 200-yard rushing game in Giants history and the first since Derrick Ward ran for 215 yards against Carolina on Dec. 21, 2008. Bradshaw' 30 carries were the highest total by a Giant since Barber had 32 at Philadelphia on Dec. 11, 2005.

*This was Bradshaw's ninth career 100-yard game. The Giants are 9-0 in those games. They are 38-10 under Coughlin when a back runs for at least100 yards.

*Bradshaw also caught four passes for 29 yards. His 229 yards from scrimmage were the most by a Giant since Barber had 249 (220 rushing and, like Bradshaw, 29 receiving) at Kansas City on Dec. 15, 2005.

*First-round draft choice David Wilson added 44 yards on two carries, including his first NFL touchdown on a 40-yard run in the fourth quarter.

*Eli Manning completed 25 of 37 passes for 259 yards, three touchdowns – all to Victor Cruz – and one interception (that Cruz momentarily had before the ball was knocked out of his hands). It was Manning's 24th consecutive 200-yard game, the second-longest streak in NFL history behind Hall of Famer Dan Fouts' 45 in a row from 1980-83.

*Manning increased his career total to 29,158 yards and passed Brad Johnson (29,054) and moved into 39th place on the NFL's career list.

*Cruz caught five passes for 50 yards. He is the first Giant to score three touchdowns in a game since Bradshaw has three one-yard scoring runs vs. Buffalo on Oct. 16, 2011 and the first to catch three touchdown passes since Hakeem Nicks vs. Carolina on Sept. 10, 2010.

*Rookie Rueben Randle led the Giants with six receptions for 82 yards, including a team-high 36-yarder.

*Second-year pro Jerrel Jernigan had his first career catch, a six-yarder.

*Lawrence Tynes kicked two field goals and five extra points. His 11 points increased his Giants career total to 495. That broke a tie with Hall of Famer Frank Gifford and left Tynes alone in third place on the franchise's career list. Brad Daluiso is second with 526 points.

*Rookie defensive tackle Markus Kuhn made his first NFL start in place of the injured Rocky Bernard. Kuhn, a seventh-round selection from North Carolina State, was the second of the Giants' seven 2012 draft choices to start a game this season. Cornerback Jayron Hosley, taken in the third round, started the Tampa Bay and Carolina games. He has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. Kuhn finished with two tackles (one solo) and two passes defensed.

*Second-year linebacker Spencer Paysinger made the first start of his two-year career at weakside linebacker for Michael Boley, who has missed practice time with a hip injury. Paysinger had three tackles (two solo).

*Stevie Brown started at safety for Kenny Phillips and had three tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery on a kickoff.

*Chase Blackburn's fourth-quarter interception was the fourth of his career (plus one in Super Bowl XLVI).

*A 62-yard touchdown pass from Cleveland quarterback Brandon Weeden to rookie Josh Gordon was the longest regular-season play allowed by the Giants since a 74-yard pass from Tony Romo to Laurent Robinson at Dallas on Dec. 11, 2011. They surrendered a 73-yard pass from Alex Smith to Vernon Davis in the 2011 NFC Championship Game at San Francisco.

*Neither team had a sack.

*The Giants' game captains were Blackburn and Cruz. They joined season-long captains Manning, Tuck and Zak DeOssie at midfield for the coin toss.

*The Giants' inactive players were wide receivers Hakeem Nicks (who missed his third straight game with foot and knee injuries) and Ramses Barden (concussion), tackle David Diehl (third consecutive absence with a knee injury), defensive tackle Rocky Bernard (quadriceps), safety Kenny Phillips (knee), cornerback Jayron Hosley (hamstring) and linebacker Keith Rivers (hamstring).

*Osi Umenyiora's five-year old son, Tijani, has been released from the hospital after suffering an Asthma attack this morning.
