Postgame TE Martellus Bennett

BENNETT: I'm good. I hyperextended my knee and that's pretty much it.

Q: You were playing through pain the rest of the game?
A: Yeah. Anybody who hyperextends their… Most people don't go back in, but to be an elite player on a team in this league, you have to play through injuries and there are a lot of things that these guys expect from me when I'm out there. Ahmad is like, 'I need you out there blocking.' So I just tried to come through and do the best I can. I talked to the line. I told them sometimes I wasn't able to get much movement when we ran power, so I told them, 'If you see them getting a little penetration, just chip them for me, but I'm going to do the best I can.' That's basically what I did out there. Just did the best I can and I was able… I'm lucky and fortunate to be a good athlete to get away with some things, so I was able to help the team out.

Q: How satisfying was it to see Rueben do what he did today?
A: It was satisfying. I was happy for him. I thought Ahmad did a great job. Eli played well. Domenik has been playing well. Cruz had three touchdowns. The offensive line had the best game they had all year. So I was very excited about this whole offense all together. Eli put the ball in the place where Rueben could make some plays, but this team is full of talent. We just stick guys in there and they're all able to make plays. It's Ramses, it's Rueben, it's… Domenik has been doing a great job. They've been double teaming Cruz. Cruz has still been able to make plays, so all these guys are playing phenomenally well and the O-Line did a great job tonight. My hat's off to them. I don't know if we had 300 yards passing, but we had a 200 yard rusher, so anytime you can put up those numbers, it's all on the offensive line. Those guys up front eat, everybody else eats.

Q: Are you worried about the knee?A: I don't know. Once I wake up in the morning, I'll know. It's just one of those things.

Q: Would you want to have Ahmad in a fight on your team?
A: All these guys are competitive. Bradshaw is like a pit-bull… Bull-dog as he would like to say. He's a tough little [guy] and he goes hard. He plays hard. We block for him, you're going to run hard and he's going to do all the things that you want him to do and he's a smart back. So I'm just super excited. He's one of my best friends on this team, so I'm super excited that he had a great game today.
