Safety Antrel Rolle Interview

Q: Are you preparing for the San Francisco 49ers trying to run a lot?

A: That is what they have shown, but every game is different. They evaluate every team differently and they may see something in us that may allow them to pass it. You never know, so you have to prepare for both.

Q: Do you expect them to run?

A: I don't know. I am just worried about our defense and not what they are trying to present to us. If we get ourselves straight, everything else is secondary.

Q: What do you see from their run game?

A: They are great at what they do. They have a great scheme and their offensive line is doing a great job of opening holes for Frank Gore. We all know what Frank can do with the ball in his hands. He is a very efficient, powerful and smart runner. His vision is excellent and he is an all-around back that you want in your backfield. We have to stay in our keys and be disciplined in what we do, play with attitude and physical attack mode.

Q: Do you remember playing them when you were with the Cardinals?

A: Yes, I played them twice a year for five years. Frank is definitely going to present a treat. You have to stay disciplined and play football at the end of the day.

Q: How long have you known Frank Gore?

A: I have known Frank since we were little, playing Pop warner. I am very familiar with his game but it is going to take more of me, it is going to take all of us to focus in on our keys and make sure that we are technically sound.

Q: Do you still talk to him?

A: We trained when we were at the University of Miami and seeing him down there in the offseason.
