Six touchdowns raise $1,500.00 for the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance

The New York Giants had their best overall performance of the season this past Monday night with a dominating 45-12 victory over their division rivals the Washington Redskins.  The Giants offense tallied more than 387 yards and scored five touchdowns in the victory.

Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes during the contest, one each to Steve Smith, Derek Hagan and Mario Manningham.  The other two offensive touchdowns came from running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who crossed the goal line on two short runs.

The Giants defense also contributed to the points tally when corner back Terrell Thomas snared a wayward pass from Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell and returned it 14-yards for a score.

The victory keeps the Giants in the playoff hunt one game behind the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers.  Next up for the Giants is a NFC clash against the Carolina Panthers at Giants Stadium.

Through 15 weeks of the NFL season, the Touchdowns for Families program has raised $11,000 for the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance and the Healthy U program.
