One touchdown raises $250.00 for the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance

The New York Giants had their playoff hopes dashed this past Sunday, losing to the Carolina Panthers 41-9 in the team's last home game at Giants Stadium.  The mistake- filled defeat moved the Giants record to 8-7, thereby eliminating the Giants from the postseason.

The Giants lone score came on an Eli Manning touchdown pass to wide receiver Steven Smith late in the game.

The Giants are currently eighth in the league in scoring, averaging 26.3 points per game, and are sixth in the NFL in total yards gained on offense.

Through 16 weeks of the NFL season, the Touchdowns for Families program has raised $11,250 for the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance and the Healthy U program.

Touchdowns for Families Program:*
For every touchdown the New York Giants score in the 2009-2010 season, Horizon BCBSNJ will donate $250.00 to the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance.  The Alliance will use that money to expand its "Healthy U" program.  For complete information on "Healthy U," please visit:  www.HorizonBlue.com/HealthyU.   Also, please visit "Healthy U" on Facebook.  , search – "Healthy U."

If the New York Giants make the NFL post season, Horizon BCBSNJ will increase its donation to $500.00 for each touchdown that the Giants score in each playoff game.  If the Giants make the championship game Horizon BCBSNJ will increase its donation to $1,000.00 for each touchdown the Giants score in the Super Bowl.
