TRAINING CAMP NOTES**

*Players missing today's practice included linebackers Michael Boley (hamstring) and Jacquian Williams (hip), defensive tackle Shaun Rogers (leg), wide receiver David Douglas (quad), center Jim Cordle (knee) and defensive end Justin Trattou (ankle/heel).

"No change there," Tom Coughlin said of Trattou, who was hurt early in camp. "It's sad. It's more the heel than it is the ankle, but he's just having a tough time."

*Tackle James Brewer left practice early when his back tightened up. Tom Coughlin said when Brewer has been able to practice, "he's looked pretty good."

*Wide receiver Domenik Hixon, tackle Will Beatty, running back Da'Rel Scott, defensive tackle Rocky Bernard and linebacker Jake Muasau – who all sat out the Jacksonville game – all returned to practice.

Asked about Beatty, Coughlin said, "He's limited. He was supposed to take about a third today and see how he is. Hopefully he can go tomorrow."

*Reserve defensive tackle Dwayne Hendricks isn't often in the news, but he has drawn Coughlin's attention.

"I've told anybody that goes against Dwayne Hendricks – he's going full speed every play," Coughlin said. "So if you're foolish enough to think that he's not going to make you look bad, you're ridiculous. He goes out and plays the game just like he practices. He did very well for himself."

*Punter Steve Weatherford was drafted into an unusual post-practice role: matchmaker. After the workout, he walked over to a corner of the field and said he had a special delivery and handed a football to a fan named Bryan Wheeler – who then passed it on to Jacklene Murt. On the football was written, "Jacklene, will you marry me? Love, Bryan."

With Jacklene holding the football, Wheeler then got down on his knee and made a more formal proposal.

Thankfully, she said yes as Zak DeOssie, Lawrence Tynes and Weatherford clapped and cheered.

*Today's attendance was a 2012 camp high of 5,430, raising the summer's total to 33,339.
