Travel Log: Giants head to Indianapolis

United-RJ-McIntosh

For every road game this season, Giants.com will catch up with a member of the team for a travel Q&A. This week, we got to catch up with Defensive Tackle RJ McIntosh:

What are your must haves in your carry-on's?

RJ McIntosh: Definitely my phone. Got to have my iPad, you know, got to have the playbook on you. This book bag – I love this book bag, this red Sprayground book bag, I got to have this, I travel with this. Maybe next year will be a different book bag. Got to have my wallet, got to have money on you. Beats – got to have headphones, got to be in the zone. My jewelry, got to have my chains on me.

What do you like to do on the plane?

RJ McIntosh: On the plane I like to get comfortable, listen to music. Usually the music helps me fall asleep. I got to chew some gum too because my ears be on some other.

Do you like to sit next to someone on the plane or would you rather sit alone?

RJ McIntosh: Depending on how big or how much space we have, but if we don't got much space I like to be on my own. I like to spread out. I'm a little tall, but if not yeah I like to talk to some people around me.

What's the longest flight you've ever been on?

RJ McIntosh: Going to California. That was a pain – not a pain, but it was the longest flight I ever been on. It's crazy.

Do you have a roommate at the hotel or are you alone?

RJ McIntosh: I did both of those this year. I had B.J. (Hill) at first. I had him for a while since first day, but it was cool having him as a roommate. I think I moved on to having my own room.

When you get to the hotel, what's your typical routine?

RJ McIntosh: Get to my room, throw my stuff down, usually go out, try to get something to eat – plan to get something to eat with the D-Line. We do that sometimes and try to relax a little bit when we get back from that.

Have you ever been to Indiana before? Have you ever played there?

RJ McIntosh: I've been there for the combine, but I never been there before that.

How's that going to feel? Last time you've been there you were a little nervous for the combine. Now you're playing a game against the Colts, you can play a little bit of a spoiler now.

RJ McIntosh: I think I'll be more on the calm side because last time I was there I was trying to impress everyone, trying to be myself and show everyone what I can do. I didn't participate, but I knew it was a business trip. This is a business trip too, but that's Sunday more light. When we get there I'll be more calm and relaxed.
