The Giants have been waiting for one of their four running backs to emerge as the bell cow, and in the last two games, Rashad Jennings has answered the call.

The sixth year running back led the way with 107 yards on 16 carries in the Giants 38-35 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, including a 38-yard fourth quarter touchdown that made it a two score game. Jennings ended the Giants' 14-game streak without an individual 100-yard rusher.

"Rashad (Jennings) had some nice runs. Shane (Vereen) had some nice runs. Andre (Williams) had a couple runs," Coach Coughlin said after Sunday's game. "I thought that was a real plus even when things weren't going very well for us. But then at the end, when we were able to maneuver back and forth and Rashad breaks out of there for a big play, I thought that was a good sign for us."

For his clutch performance that helped spark the Giants comeback, Jennings has been nominated for the FedEx "Ground" Player of the Week Award, along with David Johnson of Arizona and Alfred Blue of Houston.

Jennings is the first Giants running back to be nominated for the award this season. His 107 yards was his highest total since he rushed for 176 vs. Houston on Sept. 21, 2014. His 38-yard score was the Giants' longest touchdown run of the season, and second-longest rushing attempt overall.

Fans can vote for Jennings at NFL.com/FedEx until Thursday at 3 p.m. ET. When the winner is announced, FedEx will make a $2,000 donation in the player's name to the American Red Cross.

Here are the Week 15 nominees:

Rashad Jennings, New York Giants

Jennings ran for 107 yards on 16 carries and a 38-yard score in the Giants 38-35 loss to the Panthers.

David Johnson, Arizona Cardinals

Johnson ran for a career high 187 yards on 29 carries with three touchdowns in the Cardinals 40-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Alfred Blue, Houston Texans

Blue eclipsed 100 yards on the ground for the second time this season, rushing for 107 yards on 20 carries in the Texans 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
