What areas to improve

The Giants returned to the Quest Diagnostics Training Center yesterday after their bye week, closing the chapter on the first half of the season.

While they were idle, the rest of the NFC East gained a game on the 2-6 Giants, leaving eight weeks to make or break their season. To make the most of the second half, the coaching staff spent the break self-scouting its players before Sunday's matchup against Oakland, the first of three straight home games.

"We evaluate offense, defense, special teams, and then all of the individual aspects coaching-wise," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. "Fundamentals are what we're after, first and foremost, but we look at each specific play or defensive call or whether it be kickoff return; we look at each one and we critique each one and then give that information right back to the players in terms of how they can improve."

That leads us to our Morning Debate:

What do the Giants need to improve to make a run in the second half of the season?
