With a 22-16 victory over the Chicago Bears at MetLife Stadium, Big Blue swept its three-game homestand and improved to 7-3 on the season.

UP NEXT

The Giants hit the road for the first time since their Week 7 game in London and travel to Cleveland, where they will face the winless Browns in Week 12.

It's the first leg of back-to-back games away from MetLife Stadium for Big Blue, which plays Pittsburgh in Week 13 before returning home for a Sunday night game against first-place Dallas.

WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT THE OFFENSE

Rookie WR Sterling Shepard has become QB Eli Manning's go-to receiver on fourth down. A week after the second-round draft choice caught what proved to be the game-winner on fourth-and-goal, Ben McAdoo kept his offense on the field again for a fourth-and-2 at the Bears 17 on the Giants' first drive of the game. This time, Manning hit Shepard on a short pass over the middle, and the rookie broke a couple tackles on his way down to the 2. On the next play, RB Rashad Jennings punched it in for a touchdown…Jennings, who ran for a season-high 87 yards last week, rushed for 85 yards on 18 carries on Sunday. He was also a threat out of the backfield, catching five passes for 44 yards. Manning completed 21 of 36 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions…Shepard, who finished with five receptions for 50 yards, caught a touchdown in his third-straight game…TE Larry Donnell was inactive for Sunday's game, and Will Tye caught two passes for 12 yards, including a 9-yard touchdown in the third quarter…The Giants lost their third left guard in a row when Marshall Newhouse temporarily went down in the fourth quarter with a sprained knee and was replaced by Adam Gettis, who was signed off the practice squad 11 days ago. Newhouse was replacing Brett Jones (calf), who was replacing Justin Pugh (knee).

WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT THE DEFENSE

Aided by a penalty on DE Olivier Vernon for roughing the passer, QB Jay Cutler led the Bears on a nine-play, 76-yard opening drive that resulted in a 19-yard touchdown to TE Zach Miller, who had 61 yards in the first half. However, he suffered a foot injury and did not play in the second half…Chicago, which ranked 31st in averaging 15.7 points per game, notched 16 in the first half alone against the Giants. The Bears did not score again...S Nat Berhe saw extended time opposite Landon Collins and played in place of Andrew Adams at times…DE Olivier Vernon notched a sack in his third-straight game and now has four on the season… DE Jason Pierre-Paul also filled up the box score with four tackles (one for loss), 2.5 sacks, three quarterback hits, a forced fumble and a pass defensed…S Landon Collins continued his breakout sophomore campaign and notched his fifth interception in four games to seal the victory with 1:11 to play.

WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT THE SPECIAL TEAMS

On a cold, windy day in East Rutherford, Bears K Connor Barth missed the extra point attempt following Chicago's opening touchdown. After the Giants responded with one of their own, Robbie Gould, a former Bear, missed his first attempt and later missed another in the third quarter. Gould did make his lone field goal attempt, though, from 46 yards…Dwayne Harris returned the opening kickoff of the second half 46 yards to set up a game-tying touchdown…Brad Wing averaged 44.5 yards on six punts in the wind and had two downed inside the 20.
