The bid was summarized by the tagline “Make Some History.” In an unprecedented decision by NFL team owners, the New York/New Jersey region was awarded the 2014 Super Bowl. The game will be played at MetLife Stadium, the first open-air stadium in a cold-weather region to host a Super Bowl. Tisch and Johnson are co-chairs of the Host Committee.
