Van Roten was the only Giants player not to miss a snap last season, lining up for 1,125 plays on offense and 36 on special teams. The veteran made 15 starts at right guard and the final two at center – all after signing one week into training camp.
Van Roten and outside linebacker Brian Burns were the only Giants to start every game.
Van Roten helped Tyrone Tracy Jr. rush for the second-highest total by a rookie in Giants history, while sixth overall pick Malik Nabers set the franchise reception record.
The 6-foot-4, 295-pound New York native has played in 127 regular-season games with 88 starts in his career – 58 at right guard, 27 at left guard, and three at center. He has spent time with the Packers (2012-13), Seahawks (2014), Jaguars (2017), Panthers (2018-19), Jets (2020-21), Bills (2022), Raiders (2023), and Giants (2024-present). He also played two seasons (2015-16) with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, where he started games at center, right guard, left tackle, and right tackle. He was named an Eastern All-Star in his first season in the league.
In 2023, Van Roten started all 17 games at right guard in his only season in Las Vegas, where he played for current Giants offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo.
Van Roten originally made it to the NFL as an undrafted rookie with Green Bay in 2012.
He played four seasons at the University of Pennsylvania (2008-11), starting in all 30 games in his final three seasons. He was a two-time Ivy League champion and picked up unanimous first-team All-Ivy honors as a senior. As a junior, he anchored the top rushing, scoring, and total offense in the Ivy League
Van Roten graduated from the Wharton School with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He attended Chaminade High School in Mineola, N.Y., and was a New York All-State and All-Catholic High School Football League selection.

His best campaign came in 2023 when he started six games and recorded all four of his career sacks, along with five tackles for loss, eight quarterback hits and one forced fumble.
In addition to his snaps on defense, Dimukeje also played at least 65 percent of Arizona's special teams snaps over the last three seasons.
Prior to being drafted by the Cardinals, Dimukeje played four seasons at Duke where he finished his collegiate career with 21.5 sacks, 39 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, three passes defensed, one interception and 167 total tackles (79 solo).
As a junior in 2019, Dimukeje totaled 8.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss across 12 games on his way to being named second-team All-ACC.
MARCH 17

LB DEMETRIUS FLANNIGAN-FOWLES (SIGNED)
Flannigan-Fowles, 6-2 and 223 pounds, played in 73 regular-season games with seven starts across five seasons with San Francisco. He spent the majority of the 2019 season on the practice squad as an undrafted rookie out of Arizona. Flannigan-Fowles has also made nine postseason appearances.
In 2024, he started a career-high three games and recorded his first interception in the season opener against the Jets.
Since 2020, Flannigan-Fowles is tied for 19th in the NFL with 37 total tackles on special teams. He was fifth in the league with 15 special teams tackles in 2022.
In 2020, he was named the recipient of the 49ers Thomas Herrion Memorial Award, which was established in 2005 by team owners Denise and John York and is presented to a rookie or first-year player who best represents the dream of Thomas Herrion. The recipient has "taken advantage of every opportunity, turned it into a positive situation and made their dream turn into a reality." The award is voted on by the coaches.

He began his collegiate career at Hutchinson Community College, where he was named second-team NJCAA All-American as a sophomore in 2014. Ledbetter then transferred to Arkansas, where he compiled 104 tackles, including 15.0 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks, in 26 games (25 starts). He lined up at both defensive tackle and defensive end during his time with the Razorbacks.
MARCH 13

He became only the fifth Saints rookie to have at least three interceptions, joining Robert Massey (1989), Sammy Knight (1997), Marshon Lattimore (2017), and Marcus Williams (2017).
Since 2021, the Saints have given up the fewest passing touchdowns, second-lowest completion percentage and passer rating, and 10th-fewest net passing yards.
Prior to the NFL, Paulson was a two-time All-Pac-12 selection and led the nation in pass breakups as a sophomore in 2018. He was college teammates with Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke.

Brown for the highest total among NFL rookies. Slayton's final touchdown that year was a significant milestone in Giants history. It was the 366th and final touchdown pass of Eli Manning's 16-year career.
Slayton was the Giants' nominee for the 2024 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, which recognizes an NFL player for outstanding community service activities off the field as well as excellence on the field.

As a rookie, while playing in 12 games with four starts at right tackle, Hudson helped Cleveland lead the NFL with 5.09 yards per carry, the highest average by a Browns team since 1966. The offensive line opened holes for Nick Chubb, who finished second in the league in rushing yards that year and third the next season.
Hudson had played high school (Central Catholic), college (Cincinnati) and professional (Browns) football all in the state of Ohio. He played in 11 games at Cincinnati from 2019-20 after transferring from Michigan (2017-18) and helped bookend an offensive line that was a Joe Moore Award semifinalist.

Prior to the NFL, Forsythe started 28 of 40 games at Florida, seeing time at both guard and tackle during his career. He started all 12 games in 2020 and protected the blind side of Heisman Trophy finalist Kyle Trask as the Gators led the nation in passing yards per game.

Prior to the NFL, Stinnie played in 54 games with 42 consecutive starts to finish his career at James Madison. He was named an AP first-team FCS All-American.

WR IHMIR SMITH-MARSETTE (RE-SIGNED)
The New York Giants re-signed wide receiver/return specialist Ihmir Smith-Marsette, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent when the new league began.
Signed by the Giants one game after the 2024 season began, Smith-Marsette became the primary returner and made a splash with a 100-yard touchdown on the second-half kickoff of a Week 17 victory over the Colts.
It was Smith-Marsette's second career return touchdown and first via kickoff in his four-year career. He scored on a 79-yard punt return for Carolina at Chicago on Nov. 9, 2023.
Smith-Marsette scored the seventh kickoff return touchdown in the NFL in 2024, the first season with the new "dynamic" kickoff rules. He was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for the performance.
Smith-Marsette scored the Giants' first kickoff return touchdown since Oct. 25, 2015, when Dwayne Harris also scored on a 100-yard runback, against Dallas.
In their 100-season history, the Giants have returned 24 kickoffs for touchdowns, including 22 in the regular season and two by Ron Dixon in the 2000 postseason.
Smith-Marsette also accounted for all but one of the Giants' 30 punt returns in 2024, which he returned for 228 yards (7.9-yard average) with a long of 25 yards.
Smith-Marsette grew up in Newark, N.J., and attended Weequahic High School, located just 15 miles from MetLife Stadium.
