Andrew Thomas named to PFF's top 25 players under 25
After a stellar 2022 campaign, Giants offensive lineman Andrew Thomas is being recognized by the media for his performance on the field.
Pro Football Focus' Trevor Sikkema put together his list of the top 25 players under 25-years-old, where the left tackle landed at No. 10.
Originally the fourth overall selection by the Giants in the 2020 NFL Draft, Thomas has played 45 games (44 starts) over his first three years in the league.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound left tackle was named Second-Team All-Pro by the Associated Press following the 2022 season in which he started the first 16 games before sitting out the season finale along with most of the team's starters. In addition to not missing a single game due to injury, Thomas also played 100 percent of the team's offensive snaps in all but two contests.
PFF had Thomas down for a total of just three sacks and three quarterback hits allowed on 619 pass block snaps across 16 regular-season games last year.
Earlier this month, the Giants picked up the fifth-year option on Thomas, keeping the talented tackle under contract with the Giants through the 2024 season.
Here are the top 10 players in PFF's top 25 under 25:
- EDGE Micah Parsons, Dallas Cowboys
- WR Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
- OT Tristan Wirfs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- WR Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
