Around the Locker Room

DE Jason Pierre-Paul was asked if this Eagles team was different than last year's:

"They are a different team. They have good players on their team. Their offensive line has been pretty good. We just have to find away to get around them and stop the run and their passing game. They are a good team and a fast team. They play very quick. I am looking forward to playing them."

DT Chris Canty was asked about the losing streak against Philadelphia:

"This is the next football game. I don't know what happened before this season. Quite frankly, it doesn't matter. We need to win a football game. That's what we're going down the turnpike to do. That's what we prepared all week to do. And that's it."

C David Baas talked about being new to the rivalry:

"Yeah, but I understand it already. I haven't been here that long, but I understand it," he said, adding: "All you have to do is look at the faces of all of the other guys, you'll understand it.

Baas was then asked what rivalries he has been a part of and how they compare:

"Out there in the west, we didn't like Arizona too much. I'm kind of glad we get to see them for my own personal deal, but that's how it is. Certain guys in certain divisions don't like each other and I'm starting to feel the same way, too, especially being around these guys. I know the history. I'm just as excited as they are. Maybe a tick more for them, but I'm up there."

Re-signed WR Michael Clayton was down in Florida when he got the news he'd be back with the Giants:

"I was in Tampa about to buy a lot. I was with the family, the wife and kids, and about to settle down and build a house and I got a call. You never know what is going to happen but I am thankful for the opportunity. I am glad to be back.

Clayton was asked about his expectations now that he's back:

"I think it is pretty much even keel all the way around the league and that's that you never know how long it is going to last. I am thankful for the position that I am in. They have their guys and I was able to come on and do some things last year. I am not really sure what it is going to amount to, my biggest thing is doing what I can do day by day to help this team win a title and control what I can control. That is all I am worried about."
