NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks releases first mock draft

Mock draft season is in full swing.

NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks recently got into the mix with his first mock draft of the year, in which he projected Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze to the Giants at No. 6.

"If the Giants are going to continue with Daniel Jones as their QB1, they must add a legitimate No. 1 receiver to help the quarterback thrive," Brooks wrote. "As a catch-and-run specialist with superior strength and power, Odunze could make the game easier for Jones."

Odunze was one of the top wide receivers in the country this past season as he caught 92 passes for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns.

He registered 100 or more receiving yards in an impressive 10 out of 15 games, which led to him being named Consensus All-American in addition to first-team All-Pac-12.

It marked the second consecutive season in which he was selected first-team all-conference. As a redshirt sophomore, Odunze caught 75 passes for 1,145 yards and seven touchdowns.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound wideout finds himself near the top of just about every ranking of the top 2024 draft prospects. Odunze lands at No. 5 on Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest big board, while he comes in at No. 7 on Pro Football Focus' top prospects list.
