A: That's always something that we're working at because in this league, you can't be passive or give back those releases. That's what they're looking for and Coe and Corey, we preach that a lot. The coaches preached it a lot, so we're always trying to work on our technique whenever we can, whether it's scout team or you're going against the first team, anybody. You're going to work at that, keep sharpening your technique.

Q: When did you find out you were starting?
A: I was getting reps, but they didn't really let me know until like the day before. Really it was like the day of because it was still like Prince maybe, but whenever my number is called, I'm ready.

Q: Are you preparing to start again this week?
A: I'm preparing the same way I just did last week. I'm still working in on nickel, still working at corner, so in my head, I'm still…. Until they tell me otherwise, pretty much feeling like I'm still starting.

Q: How much of a challenge is it to face this team with the diversity they show?
A: Definitely. They're a good team and they have a lot of talent on their offense, especially with the quarterback and 89 out there. He's definitely a threat and they've got some good guys in the slot, so they can beat you a different number of ways, so they're definitely not taking it lightly with the preparation and we're doing what we have to do and coach is putting us in good positions with the play calling, so we just have to go and execute.

Q: What are your thoughts on covering Steve Smith?
A: He's across from me. I have to go and do my job. Coach is going to put us in good position, mix things up good and I just have to step up. I've got to be ready. There ain't no rookie, no more rookie. You got your first start. That's out of the way, so we've got to be ready.
