Here are what NFL experts are saying about the picks.
UCLA Cornerback Darnay Holmes, Round 4, Pick 110
Darnay Holmes got his degree at UCLA in three years. Hard worker, self-motivated. Seems like a Joe Judge Guy.

Already a fan of some of these early fourth-round picks

Day 3 Steal:@seniorbowl alum and former 5-star @ProwayDarnay

He projects as a nickel CB due to his frame and tackling ability
Holmes is a high effort player that will also give his team special teams value (93 yd KR TD vs Stanford) pic.twitter.com/sY3X67f6UR
One scout told me Darnay Holmes might be the smartest defensive player in the draft. They just said on @nflnetwork he graduated UCLA in 2 1/2 years. ... He's also got 4.48 speed, which probably impressed the scouts more.
— Ralph Vacchiano (@RVacchianoSNY) April 25, 2020
Darnay Holmes was locking down WRs at the Senior Bowl🔒

Slot corner Darnay Holmes was giving #SeniorBowl WRs problems all week long. Another piece to the secondary for the #Giants
— Emory Hunt (@FBallGameplan) April 25, 2020
The Giants are taking CB Darnay Holmes (UCLA) with the 110th overall pick near the top of the fourth round. He had eight career interceptions in three years. Aggressive but undersized man-coverage corner.
— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) April 25, 2020
#Giants take UCLA CB Darnay Holmes at #110 - he's a nickel ...told me at the Combine he "loves to tackle" as the gunner on specials..has quicks, ball skills...will need some polish but he's gritty and determined
— GiantsWFAN (@giantswfan) April 25, 2020
#Giants got good value with Darnay Holmes, one of the top slot CBs in the 2020 draft.
— Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) April 25, 2020
#NYG #DarnayHolmes CB Has experience in off and press man as well as with outside zone coverage. As a press corner mixed it up between reactive and jam. Could be physical with jam. Also flashed quick reacting to route breaks. Has the speed to stay in phase on vertical routes.

Giants are low key having a top-5 Draft

Oregon G Shane Lemieux, Round 5, Pick 150
The Giants selected guard Shane Lemieux from Oregon with their fifth-round pick (No. 150 overall). He was a second-team All-American. Adds depth at the position.
— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) April 25, 2020
Giants select Oregon G Shane Lemieux with the 150th overall pick.
— Madelyn Burke (@MadelynBurke) April 25, 2020
Lemieux started every game at left guard for the Ducks in the last four years. He was ranked the No. 3 guard in the nation last season and No. 1 overall in the Pac-12, according to Pro Football Focus.
Shane Lemieux is an iron man. 52 consecutive starts at left guard for Oregon. Plays very well in a phone booth, with some great power in the run game. Valuable depth for the Giants behind Hernandez and Zietler. #NFLDraft
— Nick Klopsis (@NickKlopsis) April 25, 2020
From the @PFF Draft Guide:
— PFF NY Giants (@PFF_Giants) April 25, 2020
“Feet constantly driving in the run game. Line of scrimmage mover.”
Lemieux gave up only 1 sack and 16 total pressures in 2019 on 497 pass blocking snaps. On true pass-sets he earned a 65.7 pass-block grade.

Hey #Giants fans, Shane Lemieux (@ShaneLemieux) is going to be a nasty OL for you. Get to know him better via my @TheDraftWire interview with him.https://t.co/q07cvb5u8p#NFLDraft2020
— Justin M (@JustinM_NFL) April 25, 2020
Giants fans ... Shane Lemueix is a physical mauler player. Good in a power type run game. Good punch in pass pro. Limited a bit in space or lateral quickness, but he’s a “blue collar” lineman. Should fit in well in Giants blue.
— Geoff Schwartz (@geoffschwartz) April 25, 2020
Penn State LB Cam Brown, Round 6, Pick 183
The Giants select LB Cam Brown with their sixth-round pick (No. 183 overall). The Penn State product has length and range at 6-5, 233 pounds. He had 15 tackles for a loss and 5.0 sacks in four seasons.
— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) April 25, 2020
Giants select Penn State OLB Cam Brown at 183
— Madelyn Burke (@MadelynBurke) April 25, 2020
Brown produced 199 tackles — 15 for loss — and 5 sacks with four forced fumbles in 51 career college contests
#Giants getting a very smart, versatile and athletic backer in Cam Brown. I was at his game vs Maryland, and his ability to be an overhang defender really stood out to me. He also has upside as a POA player too
— Emory Hunt (@FBallGameplan) April 25, 2020
Cam Brown is the 142nd ranked player on @PFF’s Board and the 11th ranked linebacker.
— PFF NY Giants (@PFF_Giants) April 25, 2020
“With Brown, you’re betting on his athletic traits translating at the next level, and that’s not a bad bet considering how fluid he is at his size.”
Report got from Penn State on BBKL for Cam Brown (6-5, 233, 4.72) - long and athletic and plays well in space.....would want to add power and play with more discipline
— GiantsWFAN (@giantswfan) April 25, 2020
Cam Brown plays fast, with a lot of athleticism, but is a bit raw. Was a strong leader on the Nittany Lions’ defense. His versatility being able to play inside linebacker or off the edge is likely something that drew the #Giants to take him here. #PennState
— Matt Lombardo (@MattLombardoNFL) April 25, 2020
#Giants draft Penn State LB Cam Brown No. 183 overall in the sixth round. 6-5, 233-pound senior. Long, fast, athletic, projected special teamer who had 72 tackles at linebacker as a senior. Another Senior Bowler.
— Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) April 25, 2020
Minnesota LB Carter Coughlin, Round 7, Pick 218
Giants with their first pick in the 7th round (218 overall) take LB Carter Coughlin of Minnesota.
— Paul Schwartz (@NYPost_Schwartz) April 25, 2020
Should be an excellent special teams player in Year 1.
Has some pass rush potential.
With the 218th pick, the #Giants select Minnesota LB Carter Coughlin
— Madelyn Burke (@MadelynBurke) April 25, 2020
The consensus 4-star prospect out of Eden Prairie HS received a scholarship offer from Ohio State, but chose to stay home and continue the family tradition of playing for the Gophers at U of M
The Giants select Minnesota LB Carter Coughlin in the seventh round (No. 218) of the draft. He had 22.5 sacks in four seasons. No relation to Tom Coughlin, ex-Giants coach.
— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) April 25, 2020
Coughlin’s overall grades the last two seasons; 89.5 in 2108 and 85.2 in 2019. Tested really well at the Combine and is listed 6’3 236 lbs.
— PFF NY Giants (@PFF_Giants) April 25, 2020
#Giants pick Carter Coughlin was my #7 OLB. He’s able to convert speed to power really well; he’ll set a good edge, and at times, will walk an OL back into the pocket. Very good use of his length as he is able to consistently shock-and-extend, then read
— Emory Hunt (@FBallGameplan) April 25, 2020
Giants picked a team captain in Carter Coughlin. Three year starter at Minnesota with 22.5 career sacks. Excellent football charater. Plays with great effort. Sounds like someone that could be a good special teams player.
— John Schmeelk (@Schmeelk) April 25, 2020
Carter Coughlin is such a good R7 pick by the Giants
— Thor Nystrom (@thorku) April 25, 2020
6'3/236, former 4-star recruit, super productive
SPARQRASAdj. SPQ

Played out of position on the edge in college, but will be a good special teamer while he learns off-ball responsibilities
Everywhere I looked up OLB Carter Coughlin, I found praise for his motor and work ethic......at this late stage of the draft, those are two key elements that will ring your phone
— GiantsWFAN (@giantswfan) April 25, 2020
South Carolina LB T.J. Brunson, Round 7, Pick 238
At 238 overall, the #Giants draft South Carolina inside linebacker T.J. Brunson. Two-time team captain, college graduate, aggressive, possible special teamer. 6-0, 219.
— Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) April 25, 2020
The Giants select South Carolina LB T.J. Brunson in the seventh round (No. 238) of the draft. Smallish linebacker who had six sacks in four seasons.
— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) April 25, 2020
Minnesota CB Chris Williamson, Round 7, Pick 247
The Giants use the 247th pick to select another Gopher, Minnesota CB Chris Williamson.
— Madelyn Burke (@MadelynBurke) April 25, 2020
Willliamson played in all 13 games in 2019, and started nine. He recorded 57 tackles (37 solo), including four for loss and 2.5 sacks... also had a nice pick 6 against South Dakota State
The #Giants draft a second Minnesota defender, corner Chris Williamson, at 247 overall in the seventh round. 5-11, 199. Transfer from Florida who played final two years for the Gophers and started nine games as a senior. Likely nickel competitor/special teamer.
— Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) April 25, 2020
#Giants go back to the secondary w/Chris Williamson: Plays almost like a S with regards to the run game; He’s
— Emory Hunt (@FBallGameplan) April 25, 2020
an excellent defender vs the run. Good footwork in zone, able to quickly flow through zones w/out losing sight of the QB or taking the cheese from different pass concepts
Williamson (6-0, 205, 4.55) primarily a big nickel and a 1-yr starter....played in the Shrine game
— GiantsWFAN (@giantswfan) April 25, 2020
Georga LB Tae Crowder, Round 7, Pick 255
The Giants final pick in the 2020 Draft is former Georgia LB Tae Crowder.
— PFF NY Giants (@PFF_Giants) April 25, 2020
Crowder graded well the last two years:
2019 - 70.5 overall, 79 in coverage
2018 - 75.9 overall, 82.5 in coverage
With the 255th & final pick of the #NFLDraft the #Giants select Georgia LB Tae Crowder
— Madelyn Burke (@MadelynBurke) April 25, 2020
Crowder made the switch from RB to LB during his redshirt freshman year... He started 13 of 14 games last season, finishing w/ 62 tackles (4 for loss) & was a semifinalist for the Butkus Award
With the final pick in the NFL Draft, at No. 255 overall to conclude the 7th round, the #Giants select 2020's "Mr. Irrelevant," Georgia ILB Tae Crowder who had 62 tackles as a senior and teammate of NYG's 1st-round pick, Andrew Thomas. That's the draft. #NFLDraft
