Dexter Lawrence named to PFF's Third-Quarter All-Pro Team
After a 2022 campaign that saw him break out in a big way, defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence is once again being recognized for his strong performance on the field.
Pro Football Focus released their 2023 All-Pro Team with the season three-quarters of the way done, which featured Lawrence as one of the First-Team defensive linemen.
"Lawrence has followed up his monster 2022 campaign with an even better season to date in 2023," wrote PFF's Gordon McGuinness. "He has racked up 53 total pressures, including five sacks and 11 quarterback hits, from 333 pass-rushing snaps, and his 32 tackles resulting in a defensive stop are the third most among interior defenders."
Lawrence has registered four sacks, 41 total tackles (25 solo), 17 quarterback hits and two passes defensed, to go with his 53 total pressures, in 11 games this season.Â
PFF has Lawrence as their overall highest-ranked interior defensive lineman in 2023, in addition to their highest-ranked pass rusher and second-highest ranked run defender at the position.
Joining Lawrence as a First-Team selection was New York Jets defensive lineman Quinnen Williams. Meanwhile, Philadelphia Eagles lineman Jalen Carter and Los Angeles Rams lineman Aaron Donald were named to the Second-Team.
Lawrence did not participate in the team's first practice of the week on Tuesday due to a hamstring injury that sidelined him in Week 12. However, head coach Brian Daboll said the team is hopeful he will be back on the field for this week's matchup against the Packers on Monday Night Football.
